Default Gear advice

I recently betrayed from Monk to Bruiser and want to make sure I am fairly correct in that gear choices will be nearly identical. I was doing a mix of DA and Crit with some defensive items thrown in when i was a monk. From the looks of things it appears I will want very similar with a increase interest in +CA damage. Just want to make sure my assumptions are correct.

Yea our ca cap is a bit higher. Other than that it is very similar sans the fact that we have to worry about haste more.

Yeah thats what i was thinking. I am using Ill Will and Circle of Necrosis atm and just got sash of pain, so as far as haste was thinking of getting Ring of Dark Intent to go with my Jewel of Animosity. Didn't have to worry about a haste item as a monk so thats the best fit i can find with my current gear. RE2 cloak is an option I suppose, but I am going for Trak cloak and should get that soon.

Yea the vp ring or ear are good options, unfortunately both are high competition slots.

Depending on your gear, you could go with a weaker haste item for now to hold you over. Blue Shiny belt, or Mastercrafted cloak are both options. Or do some MMIS runs and get a Mayong cloak in the meantime.

Yeah i was considering getting the MC cloak simply because thats the only slot I would want to give up. Dont wanna give up my ill will or circle of necrosis for VP earring. Ring slot is decent for me to replace some haste in. I have the Blue Shiny belt, but dont think the haste from that would make up for loss from Sash of Pain.

Yeah Sash of Pain FTW. Go with MC cloak for now, should be cheap. Maybe try for Mayong cloak here and there, but Re2 cloak is best in game next to trak cloak. Ring is good choice for haste item until you can get avatar pieces like manifestation belt or ascott.

He was refering to the belt as a haste item, not so much as against the Sash of Pain, and no you wouldn't use that pos belt over sash of pain.

The assassin in my guild recently got Death Chimes and swears by them, has anyone tested to see if they add much for us? Was thinking the next time we get an aria I may bid for it to get Death Chimes, but not sure if it will be worth it. Currently I have unlucky horseshoe and diamond rod mostly for a mix of DPS and def along with some decent HP between the two.
