I'm necro'ing this thread - mostly to get some visibility on the long-standing nature of the problem.
Hit Kurn's tower last night - was tanking it. Running offensive stance for regular mobs, mid on most named, defensive on final 3 named... fabled epic, +10 crush in charms total, +6 crush on ring, +6 crush on cloak, dirge in group...
Zonewide hit rate for slash/crush (using greenmist for miti proc) -> ~37% Zonewide dps; right at 2k. Now, with coercer, dirge, swash in group and some clever juggling of abilities, aggro was locked for the entire run - but it was a royal PITA to keep it and required THREE aggro control classes (got lucky that group composition just happened to have that).
So - what's the verdict here? Should I just assume I'm never going to be able to hit anything unless I'm in offensive w/all dps gear leaning toward +crushing?
I have the damned 2 MC +5 weapon stat earrings from RoK questing still that I break out, earring of icicles, wasted wilderness set - you name it, everything I can find with +crushing. I've gone into zones w/over 500 crushing and walked out with < 90% hit rate. What the hell?
