Hi guys, I am very new to everquest 2 (coming from wow) but I played the original everquest and I absolutely loved the monk class so now in EQ2 I would love to play a bruiser as I think it fits me most.But my problem is that I will be playing on the PvP server naga, but from what ive tried to research on the web there wasnt to much about what the better PvP race was for bruisers and im at a loss and dont want to level to 80 just to find out that my race has inferior racials as I really dont care about looks at all.

From my PvP experience you better pick a small race cause it will be harder to see you for others, anyway you can still use those charms to turn yourself into gnome or whatever.
Now as for efficency i think Ogres are the best choice since you get some more hp and an extra stun attack.
Drak elf gets some base 2% DA i think and also this temporary buff that gives more crit and casting speed.
High elf is definitly not a wise choice but hey, we're sexy !

I am a rather experienced PvP bruiser on the Vox server. I picked Half-elf race and have been fairly successful with it just getting my 7000th kill. If I had to do it over again I would go Barbarian for something pvp'ers call Barb sprint. Barb sprint will allow you to run at +100% runspeed even while snared. Being able to run at +100% speed in pvp combat is huge, HUGE Advantage in either being able to get away or chase someone down. Fae get the same runspeed but just say NO to fae bruisers or Rat bruisers for that matter. As for size/appearnce there are lots of illusion forms to make you smaller. Cat totem which you will need to have up 100% of the time anyway makes you small enough to interfere with manual targeting.

if i could re choose my race (which i think should be an option when they change racial traits or add new races) id go asari. you get glide (no more reason to put Jumpy boots on then forget you have them on) you get fae fall (and if you work hard enough at it you can get your safe fall up too, this will help when you try to use fae fall and someone throws a star at you), besides that you get the De-agro (nice in solo pvp), the +2 DA, the 50% run speed temp buff, and Dark Envy (its pretty much the same as the zerker spell Juggernaut) which would put me over the top when dpsing on raids.

and they are pretty small which always helps in pvp.

Cool, so what from I gathered barbarians are pretty decent and look wise hes pretty cool, any ideas of what racial traits to start getting from the get go?

Just pick a barbarian and go for sprint AA trait first, anything to do with max hp/defense .etc .etc.
