Default TSO AA's some seem broken

Ok, I was looking at the AA's and decided to make a tanking spec, so I went for every defensive increase I could find. But I found it didn't make much of a difference at all from my previous spec.

I put points into Consummate Defender, Deflecting Blow, and Aversion. Thinking that an increase in skill bonus, 6% deflection constant, and 6% Deflection added to defensive/middle stance would increase my avoidance.

I found that it didn't... only defensive thing that helped was the constant 6% deflection (Deflecting Blow)... So why in ur right mind would you put points in the others...

The Riposte Mastery is almost useless being that we don't riposte much at all (I could see it as being uber for Monks with Tsunami=100% riposte frontal, but Bruisers have little to no Riposte).

I'd also like to see when Adrenaline Rush comes into play, because I don't believe it (like it will show it warded, or "(mob) hits you for 12,234 but due to your rush of adrenaline, failed to inflict any damage." or something like that... just so I know it's working. Because it doesn't say that it will cast Stoneskin and absorp a total of 1 attack or anthing like that it says, "Gives the bruiser a chance to absorb the next attack..."

The Thunderous Strike is a joke...

Adrenaline Rush owns. When it triggers you see a little icon so you can actually "See" it working if thats what your in to.

Riposte Mastery sucks. Riposte damage as it is is so small that nobody really cares. Buffing the damage from ripostes is Sony's experiment to see who has no idea what they are choosing when picking AAs. Maybe blind people, dunno.

My big thing is the defensive AA's they don't stack... why would you put 6% Deflection into def/middle stance, if it doesn't stack with a constant 6% Deflection... makes no sense... And the Def Stance bonus in fighters tree... what does it do, I see no real increases, at least non to avoidance, and non to mitigation...

both the deflection bonusses are worth getting from the brawler line, Aversion doesn't display in your window as it affects the minimum deflection chance, thats why it appears not to stack.

Honestly I use riposte spec in my defense stance...it doesn't take a lot of AA to get to 60% extra riposte damage and with the TSO T2 set you should have +9 base riposte chance. It is my understanding that riposte works off a successful parry, so just get parry to ~20-25% and it becomes useful enough. I generally see about 4-7 ripostes per fight on ~30second fights, which should translate to at least 4 extra mythical hits that do 60% more damage than a standard attack. Given that a good chunk of our AA in the brawler line blows and you need to spend them somewhere to get to the end line TSO AA, I see the riposte AA as better than a lot of the other shit choices we get.

you realize that a riposte does like 200-300 damage right? Ripostes are NOT normal attacks.

Seriously? Is my mental model of EQ2 completely broken by EQ1?

Aversion is now displayed if you mouse over your avoidance in your personae window.

and riposte mastery was so much better when it increased riposte % by 10% but all the other fighters said riposte chance sucked lol

Seriously.

Try this, taunt a mob or 2, and let them beat on you, turn off any reactive damage you have and turn off auto attack. Watch your combat log. When you do eventually see tha "YOU hit a xxxx for 285 damage" or whatever then you'll be able to see it for yourself.

I'm not certain the exact number, but I believe riposte damage is supposed to be roughly 15% of an autoattack, in terms of damage.
