Default back after along break. can I get some suggestions?

hi there

i've recently returned from a very long break from game. i've got the new expansion but i'm really wondering how my gear is still holding up and where i could look for upgrades.

my guild imploded and i left the game so currently i'm unguilded (but looking!)

but please if you guys could help me to identify which pieces of my gear need updating and which are still good?

before i left game we were killing trakanon and since i've come back i bought the shoulders from tombs and got the void gi from palace but i still think that my vp gi might be better.

here is my profile. thanks.

Well for starters your going to need some crit mit. Your gear suggests that you are a raider, and will be looking to raid again? Try and get as much crit mit as you can so you don't get kerplunked by TSO mobs' AoEs.

Do some shard runs, get yourself the T2 shard shoulders, (Wilderness shoudlers IMO), as they are a nice boost to dps, and run the access quest to Ward of the Elements, or have people zone you in as that zone has alot of gear(t3), which makes it easy to get some crit mit.

As for goals on gear, for armor you want your TSO raid (T4) pieces, and the rest is up to you really. There are plenty of suggestions in the bruiser gear thread for jewelry. Your current gear isn't bad though and it'll take you into TSO with ease.

Procs are where it's at this expac, so try to diversify and load up on different procs. 1 piece of Greater Void Bane, One of this one fo that.. Get your ethernaut collection earring also as that is really good.

thank you for some tips.

am i right in thinking that currently the lava gi would be better cuz of the proc than the void gi?

i could probably get a void bane proc somewhere else i've seen a bunch so far.

my hope is to get back into raiding again. i've been told that a lot of the fights in this expansion are big power drainers. is it worth keeping the manaweave gear? back in ROK it would be very rare for me to drop below 90% power with a piece or 2.

I don't use hardly any power gear and have no problems.

The void gi has crit mit right? I'd say that might be a good solution for TSO raids, and use the lava gi for fight where you don't need crit mit, IE trash clearing or RoK zones.

I think alot of depends on what you plan on doing. For outright tanking the T3 set with the 5 piece bonus is pretty nice. The chest piece and pants both have 10 critical mit each and the boots, pants and shoulders add +1 to mitigation which all put together adds up to a good bit. Then the Gi adds +6 riposte and the 5 set bonus adds another 6. But for trash and outright dps the set will get beat by alot of stuff including the VP gear you have... so depends on your role.
