Sometimes, when I use close mind, it goes up, and then immediately dissapears when a hostile spell is cast on me that has a controlling effect to it. Has anyone else had this issue? It is not being dispelled in any way, just not sure why it comes off.

It does this in both pve and pvp.

What controlling effect? If it's a charm, Close Mind does NOT protect against charms. Also, some mobs in the game can dispell your buffs.

Aside of those 2 possible explanations, I'd say it's possible that you might double click the hotkey when casting it, causing it to come down immediatley after casting.

dont be clicky happy, click it once and let it run up, keep in mind if u double click it you cancelt the buff

i've only played pve, but have had both of the above things happen.

i've clicked close mind a 2nd time thinking i either miss clicked the 1st time or got interrupted during casting, only to find out it was a little lag or something, and my 2nd click cancelled the buff. lame.

and it's a mob dispelling it like crabbok stated, that should show up if you scroll up in your chat window. like "a something something bowl of jello mob has dispelled your Close Mind". i remember getting tons of messages like that showing up in my chat window fighting those stupid butterflies in emerald halls that would drop all your buffs

ps. those are the only 2 things cases that come to mind that i've ever had close mind drop before it's timer is up
