over the last couple of weeks I've been tanking more than ever, and I must say I think we are fine as we are..
I don't need to use my Defensive stance, and if I did I still don't need the Warden buff if there is a Dirge and a Temp..
My gear is not THAT great yet, only 1 tso x4 item so far, so its not ALL about getting the best gear before you can stand..
I think if they fixed the strikethrough and our encounter locks I would be very happy as we are..
can dps when there is no need for an OT, heck I do 9-10k on palace trash in my crap gear, and can tank when we need to also..

Bruiser are good, almost as they should be..

9-10k ZW with 1 TSO piece? I havn't ran palace with new gimped trash. Does it really make us parse that much higher.

Its not even worth parsing now the crap dies so fast
the trash went from about 7 mil hp to 1.9 mil

We cleared the trash in just over 5min of combat time
compared to what used to be 13-14 min thats a sad
fucking nerf. Takes as long to run around and kill them now
as it does to actually damage them. Cant even chain pull
the shaman pet cant run fast enough to drag in multiples
with them dying so fast.

Good news! My bruiser is now going to stay my main for the foreseeable future. My guild wants me to stay a bruiser now. Imagine that!

Reason for there change of heart is that our guild OT was just recruited to a rival faction Guild and we are a wee bit short on geared out fighters.

Yeah, I don't mind being the red-headed step child... I can dps ok, I can tank ok. I have a save the MT button just in case healers take a quick nap. I can intercept a major attack and survive. I'm used quite a bit, especially when we lack a few others. I can throw on my dps gear and be where I think we should be, behind the dps classes, above all other tanks and support classes (minus coercer/illy). I can tank when asked, though I wish we had more aoe aggro holding ability (which all they would have to do is inc range of crane proc, add either decent damage to it, or hate proc). I don't care about being TOP of the parse... I don't think we should be BEST tank. I can be used when someone dies, I call our class the "OH SHIT" tank. we add our dps when not tanking, and can easily stay alive for the time it takes to rez and rebuff MT. If classes aren't there, stay in middle with def gear and stay high on hate list and act as great OT. We can also tank quite a few raid nameds, and with a shaman, can easily tank any instance. The only thing I have beef with our class is our ability to hold aggro on more than 1 mob... that's it... I can survive anything with the right set up, and it's not like MT could survive if they lacked healers or support classes...
