Default Post GU52: What have we learned?

Quick rundown of my toon. With our move to crushbone I have finally gotten to raid with my bruiser so my gear is a combination of T2, some hand me down jewelry like the ring of walled flesh, earring from the WOE, choker or JoA, Gi of swirling lava or Void Gi of sorrow, a couple VP pieces to swap in and out, the Myth and Nightmare wraps and misc legendary jewelry.

I was parsing 7-8k in the palace beforehand in groups that were not necessarily beneficial to me. As soon as we head back in I can at least compare and post what I find out in the other thread.

What concerns me is the run through VP the other night mything up new guildmembers as we rebuild a bit.

We did the first wing at the end of the raid night Sunday and I was pretty steady in my dps on all the fights. Tuesday after the update I was appalled to see that I was struggling to make it into the 4k range. I was in an awful group set up buff wise and kept getting apologies for that, hell even the newly 80 SK dropped off the map in that group, but I can't see dropping off 3k or more just because of a group set up.

Maybe it was the group I was in..

Has anyone else noticed definate changes for the better or worse? Gear changes that have occured that we should know about? Should we consider AA set up changes in this post GU world?

One thing I have noticed, and I apologize for not being ACT proficient so I can post real numbers, is the notable decrease of orange numbers the past couple days. I would guess that has to do with the proc rate change which may be affecting me.

I think we are finishing up the myth run tonight so hopefully I get a more beneficial group and I can see if I truly took a hit dps wise.

i havent noticed any hit from the gu really. and as far as groups go, yea group setup could definetly account for 3k dps ( kinda extreme between groups, but its not out of the question). another thing you might wanna look at is your overall raid dps. alot of classes were hit harder than we were so if stuff is dying slower this could also account for the drop

You group setup can easily account for 3K dps, especially when you are lacking in gear that much. From the perspective of an avatar geared bruiser, I'd say we are fairly close to where we were before.

The boost to Blade Chimes is helping to compensate for the slight hit on other gear-based procs.

I tanked the first wing of VP last week (the SK was tired of me pulling agro) and notice i nice boost in my dps...granted i had MT buffs and such, but i was parceing in the high 9s and ever broke 10k a time or two. Im know that group makeup makes a huge difference for me, but was just glad to see that the GU didnt really hurt my dps, in fact with the changes im doing better than i ever have.
