Mathematically you are once again incorrect, but correct by itself it is no different then parry skill or deflection skill. But since both parry and deflection occur before defense on the avoidance check it is the least effective. This can all change if strike through on npc's goes up alot in the next expansion.

If I instead kill his grandson, I will only kill maybe 1 billion or less... and if I instead kill his grea great grandson, I might only kill a few million.

Because it checks later it checks against less actual strikes however, mathmatically that doesn't make it less effective in any way whatsoever, you see its like flipping a coin, just because you just had 10 heads in a row doesn't mean that your next coin flip isn't going to be 50/50 chance at heads.

All it really means is if for whatever reason parry/deflect etc fail due to chaotic random bad luck defense is there to pick up the slack. You fail to understand that, dunno why other then the fact you are pretty much a dumbass.

Here is me from soloing labs earlier today, note I had on ward and mit gear not avoidance gear or my avoid would have obviously been much higher.

You'll see out of 2089 hit 1866 were avoided. So basic math tells you that 223 hits got through, since miss is the "last check" you can just add the 194 misses to the 223 hits there and can say miss did 194 avoids out of 417 swings for 46.5% effectiveness. OMG 46.5% you say hmm wouldn't that mean the defense mechanic is actually more then double the effectiveness of parry?

Seriously you are an idiot. Thanks for the avoidance report as you see Miss%(9.29) is smaller then deflection%(40.69) and smaller then parry/riposte (19.96/15.13). Btw dumbass you do realize riposte are parry's with a reverse atk. I dunno where you went to school but mathematically that is a smaller number.

It was proven in the previous thread where I told you Uncontested avoidance is only modified by mob level and is not a contested roll vs mob skill. Via the EOF game update notes.


It was proven in the monk thread were couching told you that the total uncontested avoidance is the number based on the order of the avoid checks. Proven by the in game personae window.

Here's an idea - you have a good chance to educate people with less knowledge about the game than yourselves. Personally I find the knowledge you guys can impart about avoidance checks, gear and the like invaluable, but I hate having to wade through a constant pissing contest to get it. Maybe if you both tried to keep it civil rather than jumping for each other's throats at the first opportunity, we could all get something out of it. Maybe it's not possible, I don't know, but it doesn't exactly cover anyone involved in glory every time it gets started up once again.
