Yea, you will soon get tired of the RP'ers on AB. I was there a little bit...the most annoying ones are the Ratongas who talk in Ratonga Speak in character in groups. It was like being surrounded by people that learned how to talk from Jar Jar Binks. Come to Crushbone....rumor has it an Old Froglock Master Bruiser from NPU retired here and lives in relative obscurity...

Yea as far as racials Ogres are nice for Bruisers. I have leveled 4 Bruisers to cap and this last reroll I looked closely at the racials and starting stats and concluded an Ogre would be the best race...

What finally set me off on AB was a PUG tank in Stormhold looting a mage item that was for my alt and then not letting me have it because I "wasn't being nice to him". This was pre-RaR. :-(

Some interesting things I've noticed while levelling.

1- Autoattack on low levels weapons sucks. The delays are wierd, 5, 6 seconds, 1.9, 2.8 or wahetevr very strange delays. And they get stuck all the time. RIght now I'm using 2 1.9 delay weapons, and they both seem to get delayed... like they shoudl swing, but it waits 5-6 seconds before swinging.

2- Our fear... I haven't used this in years. Well, turns out at SOME point in time our fear was put on it's own recast. I'm actually able to fear and mez now, kinda interesting considering the last time I even had fear on my hotbars was years ago when they shared a recast.

So i'm lvl 45 now, with 40 AA, taking it kinda slow but having a pretty good time so far. Got myself some Woven Vulcanized Shoulderpads last night and I'm lovin it so far.


A few interesting things I've come to learn about levelling up again. For one, autoattack sucks at low levels, mostly because it "hangs" alot. By that I mean you swing, wait your 2-3 seconds or whatever your delay is... but then it doesn't swing again. It'll wait an additional 5-6 seconds sometimes before swinging! And I'm using 1.9 second delay weapons! Definetley have to rely more on CAs. Oh, another thing I didn't even realize, is that our fear is now on a separate timer from our mez. I had removed the fear from my hotbars years ago when they combined them. I have no idea when they became separate again.. but it's a nice thing to know when soloing, that I can use them both now.

Low level bruiser is completely different then the end game. Pre-level 60 you have to spam CA's because auto attacks do very little damage. I think batons and cudgels have 3 second delays which aren't too bad. I have a low 40s bruiser and monk permanently locked in that level range to farm RoV and RE. It is best level range to be a brawler if you know the zones, gear, and playstyle.

Doesn't make sense that your weapons aren't swinging as often as they should by stats alone. Hope that improves for ya soon!
