Default Drag and divide & conquer

Now and then when very short on tanks I Off tank some of the easier raid stuff.

Zarakon adds, a bit on gynok and Void handlers on Penta.

IS everything immune to drag and D&C ?? its pissing me off cos it makes me look EVEN more of a tool than i know i am..

How am i ment to snap aggro if nothing works - is this just the way it is or am i failing somewhere particularly hard ?

ANY advice would be good.

but yeah, most or all TSO raid mobs are immune to em

Havn't you heard? Bruiser is a PVP class, not an offtank! If you want to experience PVE content play something that isn't broken like, basically, every other TANK class. What IS an offtank anyways? Isn't that something for tanks who can't hold AOE aggro? IE. Bruisers?

Nothing more humilitating then failing the role of the tank who can't tank, ie. Failing at OFF-TANKING. Sort of like when the backup quarterback comes in from the sidelines for a couple of drives while the real QB rests his arm for 10min only to throw a couple of interceptions.

You're better off on the sidelines watching chatlogs. Or, maybe, you can try to out DPS the SK or Zerker tank while your in offensive stance. If you try hard enough, you'll out DPS the conj. pet if knockout combination is up.

JK bruisers are the best....

at pvp....

I pretty much came to the same conclusion. It is why I retired my bruiser from raiding and now play a dirge. Bruiser is just for pvp. Maybe they will get around to fixing our class sometime in 2010 but who knows. Don't count on it though.

They should just change aggro locks to say
* if not epic
* if epic

and then put something else in place for epic fights. Since they're so keen on disallowing the massive overpoweredness of a 4s lock and all...

Aggro locks should absolutely work on epics. Drag and Divide and Conquer should both work on almost every epic fight.

When I asked about this at Fan Faire, my response was "Well, abilities like these tend to trivialize encounters that have an aggro-drop or mem-wipe". I call bullshit because in TSO there are only a handful of fights that are like that, yet our 2 abilities work on NOTHING, while SK's lock abilities work on EVERYTHING.
The result? They will try to allow these types of abilities to work on more mobs next expansion, but not everything. At the very least, we shoudl expect to lock epic trash.

I am underwhelmed at this response, and will continue to push for these abilities to go back to being 99% useable, and being restricted on very few encounters, namely special mobs like leviathan, and mobs that DO have a mem-wipe script. (Even though I'd rather be able to use the lock abilities even on mem-wiping mobs)

The whole agro lock setup was bullshit.
First we get a 5 sec drag, coercers and dirges get an agro lock... EOF
Then they said it was to powerful and only nerf drag to 4 secs ... EOF
Then they give monks peel for like 30 second duration, bruisers divide and conquer for random half encounters 8 secs... ROK
Then they nerf monks peel to 10? secs and say it is to powerful again.... ROK
Then they give shadowknights a peel on thier mythical... ROK
Then they give both warriors a 10 sec agro lock and make bruisers divide and conquer a full encounter aggro lock.,,, TSO
and at the same time nerf all epics fights and most heroic fights to be immune to agro locks saying it was to powerful..... TSO

IF IT WAS TO POWERFUL WTF DID U GIVE IT TO EVERY CLASS THEN COMPLETELY NERF OURS, YET LEAVE SK W A VERSION THAT WORKS ON MORE NAMED THEN OURS.

They already said it was to powerful in EOF. I agree that many agro locks are to powerful. They should of never gave it to every class then. They should of kept it restricted to 4 second versions of drag, coercers, and dirges.

Absolutely. I'd rather divide and Conquer just get changed to massive Encounter Threat, like 30K hate or more... at least this way it'd work.
