i used to play a bruiser back in the day and loved it..but yet i could never get in a raiding guild.. so i rolled a coercer and been playin that for 3 years now..

i want to roll a bruiser an wonder what they are used for anymore..
i cant remember the last time i have seen a bruiser in a group let alone a raid.. well not one worth a shit..( 1k dps is a waste of time ).. if i remember right bruisers cant tank well.. singles are fine but groups are rough...

soo what good are they? if i level one up will it be able to get into a raiding guild..and not a "we are starting VP" raiding guild but a real guild.. other than dps what buffs do they do to help raids..

or is it a toon i used to farm shit ..any info would be great

Not much has changed in three years. Bruisers are good alt farming toons. You might want to try pvp as that is what the bruiser does best and the pvp rewards are pretty nice.

i aswell i have a coecer i use to raid. i'm rolling up a bruiser (currently 73) i'm going to use to farm with to make money and get shards, would i like to raid with him? yeah woulldddd love to! but show me a raid that want's to fill a spot with a bruiser and i'll show you the happiest bruiser alive!

Sure you can find a spot in a raiding guild, if you look close..
All you need to know is that in all guild there is only room for 1 brawler, and in some not even 1..

Its gonna be hard, but its doable for sure, what we bring to a raid, well, only 1 buff and we can pick up everymob and hold it for the time it takes the MT to get up

My cousins guild had a full time raiding bruiser but that person has recently retired the bruiser for a coercer. Now there is no brawler in the raid roster and he says they are not seeking one.

I love my bruiser but I will say that my zerker is really a better all around toon and my sk just blows the socks off the bruiser as well. It is ashame that bruisers are so discriminated now days, but the numbers don't lie. When sk's, paladins, and zerkers which have greater surviability are having higher zonewides than bruisers then bruisers are gonna loose everytime.

Bruisers back in the day were the least in utility and defensive abilities but their stronger dps made up for those areas of loss. In todays game the bruiser has increased slightly in defense but their utility still sucks.

My ZW is NEVER lower than our Pally's is, so not sure wherer you get that..
We don't have a SK on our Rooster, but in PuG's I beat them always also..

Zerkers I wont even talk about, they only come close when their temps are up, and if mine is at the same time they still wont beat me..

I believe if played right, we can beat the other fighters, maybe we are on pair with SK, but they all win in survivability, that's our downforce atm..
Make us imune to strikethrough, fix AoE autoattacks, target locks and make our AA rescues not miss that mucn and we are just fine

Yeah in my experiance Bruisers out DPS other fighters but not by enough to justify our lack of survivability.

Im raiding with my Illy until next expansion when (hopefully) they will address some of the Bruiser's shortcomings (aggro control in D-Stance).

I think single target dps for a bruiser will be higher than other fighters. From my experience bruisers aoe is no where near as strong as the crusaders and the zerker. If it was then bruisers would not be having such a bad name with aoe aggro.

Your last statement is very accurate and hopefully bruisers will attain such one of these days. If it ever happens I will be back on my bruiser more.

I have an 80 Bruiser that I raid with but nothing really hardcore. I got so frustrated with my bruiser that I started playing my defiler which ended up being 10 times easier to play. My bruiser can single target dps decently but I have to be in the right group and in all dps gear in order to match an SK or a Zerker for that matter, but aoe content it is not even close. Plus it doesn't help that every single taunt in a TSO raid zone gets resisted. If I lose aggro on something I automatically hit 2 to 3 snap aggro taunts because I can count on the first ones not working and in defensive my dps is total garbage but its the only way I can survive. Either way I am not worried about it and just accepted that is the way the bruiser is going to be until the next expansion in which case they may get improved some if any.
