Dose anyone have experience with both classes in this area? How much of an edge dose the bruiser have over the monk Specifically in a solo named killing scenario. also assuming they both have decent gear (not all the way raid gear)

Is it a gray area dealing with skill alone? or is it an obvious difference?

I have played both to 60s but I would like some of your thoughts on the subject.

Bruisers have KO combo which is better burst damage for named killing and closed mind which prevents being stunned or stifled. The only thing monks have over bruisers is Tsunami which makes them better farmers pre end game. With mythical and 200aa the bruiser is better.

thank you for the rundown, this helps. What about pre myth? Is it doable with the right gear? or just a waist of time without the myth to even try? might be a while tell my bruiser has access to it.

names are generally easier due to Chi + Knockout so if you are at least lvl 65+ and have at least 23 AA you'll be able to get those 2 abilities and have a temporary high dps spike which is good for most names.

With roughly the same gear, masters/adept 3's, and AA's anything a monk can solo a bruiser will be able to solo better.

he's saying a monk's raidwide buff is better than a bruisers, and generally, if a raid guild is deciding ona brawler, more often than not they will opt to choose a monk simply because of the raidwide buff.
