As for TSF there will probably be a raid quest line to get some type of weapon along the lines of Claymore/Soulfire.

If the click effects stay as they are but usable in appearance/inventory. Mythicals like Inquisitors will be required until eq2 shuts down or the class is given the ability without the mythical.
Put it this way how many people currently in your guild have the claymore on thier current raiding main. That Epic is the first lvl 70 epic and most people i know don't have it on their main anymore. That epic is still not soloable for most classes and the current mythicals consist of several raids that require DPS checks OR fail scripts that make those raids completely unsoloable.
Sorry for the tangent i just know if mythicals are required in t9 raiding i am going to absolutely loathe redoing mythicals OVER and OVER and OVER. And even if I know i will loathe doing them i will then have to listen to people who ALSO will hate doing mythicals over and over and over. It sounds good in theory now. yeah mythicals for tier 9. But in reality it will be HELL.

Re: Bruiser Issues and Ideas
Yeah, it's hard to say in that format - just notes of what a dev said at fan faire. But it makes sense to me - don't know why they would decide to make mobs immune to it in TSO, and then change their minds.
I honestly don't know why it's considered to "overpowered", though. Most mem-wipes that I've seen affect more than just the tank, and can happen more frequently than the minute and a half recast of Drag. Plus they can usually be cured, anyways. Does that mean my inquis is OP for being able to group/single cure the mem-wipe detriment?
I guess I don't care too much about making mobs immune to it, as long as they replace Drag with something useful.

Ding ding ding! I am pretty sure this is the way things are going to happen. In some, format. I know of several classes that are getting this, for example with bard buffs becomming raidwide, we are likely to see CoB, and PoM also raidwide with that change. Healers as a whole are also going to be seeing some cool stuff that might eliminate the need for some mythicals.
And don't call the claymore an epic. Prismatic, Godking, Claymore, Soulfire, and Ethernaut items aren't epics, they are just Hallmark Quest rewards. Call them hallmarks or something, but Epic Weapon is a term reserved for our epics.

Technically Mythicals are not epics either . Epic was the item tag given to the EQ1 version. No where in the game or during any quest was the term EPIC used or reserved. If you want to use the quest journal entry as the name then mythicals were not even hallmarks, they are listed under signature quests. We call them epic because they were long quest series that rewarded the best weapons each tier, this happened back during prismatic 1.0.
If we want to get technical then lore wise the real claymore and soulfire should be the most powerful weapons in the game. Considering they are the left and right hand weapons of THEER. Aka the only weapons that can kill a God and the most powerful weapons in the game.

Incorrect sir. I'm surprised you are normally much more accurate than this. First off, the common sense factor tells you that when someone says they have their epic, we all know what they mean, but let me show you where else they are called epic weapons:
EverQuest II Players

Epics
All 24 classes will be seeing some new quests and items implemented in Game Update 42, in regards to Epics. These are certainly not your momma's Epics either; they'll test your skill and knowledge of Norrath. Some items touch back to FAR earlier times, so deep knowledge of history (touching on EverQuest lore and even going as far back as EverQuest Online Adventures, 1000 years in the past!) will really help you in that progression. This does indeed mean that lore junkies will be getting a feast from all directions, and answers to some long-standing questions!

I don't mean to bust your balls man, I'm just trying to clear up the terminology. When you say T9 epics, I think you make people think there is going to be a lvl 90 version of our epic weapons, which is just flat out untrue.
If you are referring to a long quest, be it signature, Hallmark, or miscelaneous story-driven, ending with a fabled weapon... then you need to call it something other than "epic" because that term is misleading.

Technically the term epic was never used in game or during any quests, so i am still correct
But i see your point.
