Crane Twirl did not suffer from the 10 pts now = 8 pts old routine that a lot of stuff did. 8 pts now = 8 pts old, and so 2 more points boosts the proc rate from 16% to 18% to 20%.

Also, Shadows will let you spend 70 points. So you've got 250 points maximum to spread out among 3 trees that individually will allow you to spend 100/100/70. Lot of room for interesting builds.

Pressure Point is the name of it. It may have been affecting all mitigation at one point, I didn't notice, but on beta at the moment it's debuff vs physical damage only.

Yea sorry meant physical typed that reply pretty quick, But all physical is still better then just crushing.

That isn't an upgrade. That isn't a complete change from the past ability. Thats just increasing the cap of the ability by 2 AA's. The damage is still shit. It is, in no way equal to AE autoattack.

The damage is actually pretty nice considering all the other changes (potency, crit consolidation etc) up it's average hit from 300 to 1100

Is a riposte-based damage/tanking spec now viable with the additional AA or is riposte damage still kinda meh?

Also, has anyone found a 2hander yet that is actually comparable to dual wielding? Doubt I'll be giving my mythical up early but a good 2hand could be fun if the damage is output is solid.

Haven't seen any weapons yet, so dunno. And riposte damage, even with all the AAs into it is still just meh... Myth ripostes for about 1300 with all the extra boosts.

That damage is still pathetic. Crane twirl procing for 1100 would have been good for RoK but not SF. We are still two expansions behind in acceptable AE damage. The proc should hit twice as often and three times as hard to keep up with the damage increases being thrown arround this expansion.

Crane twirl is screwed again on beta. Potency didn't effect it and Mantis Bolt.
The damage of Crane twirl and Mantis bolt are really low on beta atm.

Did it get changed? Mantis bolt is crazy high damage for me, and Crane Twirl... well fuck dude lets just say that on an AoE fight it's doing some really spectacular things right now.
