Default So... Weapons and choices...

Hi all

I am currently using Marr's Fist and the 60.5 Twin Calamities. I wear the Doomslayer Belt (7 slash/Pierce). My skills are (selfbuffed ofc): Crushing (395) - Piercing (406) (Clawed Basilisk Boots).

Why the questions? Because I also have the following weapons:
- Bonetooth Skewer
- Fist of Bashing
- Fist of Pain

I tried swapping Calamities with FoB - Higher hits, sure - but also slower and less proc?

My parses depend _alot_ on my group setup in raid (well, duh ), so...

Any thoughtful insights?

My current selfbuffed scenario is:
AA line: STA 5 4 8, WIS 4 4 8, INT 4 4 8 (the good ol' one).
DPS mod: 53
Haste: 23%
Atk: 1523
Melee Crit: 23%

Default Re: So... Weapons and choices...

you using the acrylia str/agi rings at all? that could help boost your haste/dps for one thing. from what i have seen fist of bashing is just better, period, esp if you get a group with a bard (either one, crits FTW). and from what i have seen it procs more. no i dont have numbers to crunch it with, but as a monk i can tell you that less delayed auto attacks ultimately = better 100% of the time. and vendor/transmute the bonetooth skewer. i have the scepter of destruction (from tarniax) and its basically the same weapon only with higher damage on it. that thing sucks horribly. only thing it is good for is procing CoB and thats really not worth sacing DPS over in the long run (which you would be doing). anything with less than a 1.6 delay i honestly wouldnt use at all. from a bruiser point of view though, i often see many of them pick the 1.6 delay since it is easier to time with their low haste on combat arts. so if you are in a group with high haste, FoB FTW, but low haste pick marr's fist + TC or fist of pain depending which you see giving more dps boost. tested them myself and its really hard to tell for a monk at least. probably different with bruiser though, neither one is a bad weapon by any means
