Default Coming back after extended leave since TSO.

When I left the game back during TSO I was hoping to come back to a later date where my Bruiser would not be ignored left and right. I created and powered up a Illu just to find a decent guild I could raid with to experience endgame with but was bored to tears and enjoyed the playstyle more so on my Bruiser.

Fast forward several years and I'm back. My bruiser was decently twinked at that time period. Now that I'm 14 lvls behind the curve and need to get back in the mix I need a gameplan going forward.

    Here is my current gear.

    Akkane [81 Bruiser] - Freeport - EQ2U - Character Details

    218 aa's

Am I ok with the current gear to quest up to 90 then go back into all crafted gear again, or is there a better way of gearing up? Starting to save plat again now since I came back dead broke.

Also am I better off waiting until 90 to grind AA's up all at once, or just set my slider to a certain % now and not worry about it while leveling? I do have gold subscription also.

Any input or tips is greatly appreciated.

Made it up to almost 85 last night should hit 90 in a couple days. Now that I have a merc things are going quite smoothly.

If anyone else is on freeport leave me your name.

You're gonna have to hit 280 aa's before it let's you go past 90? ---

So just chrono to 80, buy the newest master-crafted gear, go to sebilis, and get them up, or - find a Skyshrine group that will carry you, or just quest? w/e your pace is.

Finish your enervated Epic Repercussions - EQ2i, the EverQuest 2 Wiki - Quests, guides, mobs, npcs, and more

Once you hit 95, Do this quest, and you you'll unlock solo zones + Faction gear Unexpected Consequences - EQ2i, the EverQuest 2 Wiki - Quests, guides, mobs, npcs, and more -- T2 Faction gear is now slightly better or equal to T1 raid gear.... So just farm solo's or get carried in groups, till get enough tokens to buy it all... Then you're set... --- I don't play alts but from what i saw i believe the master-crafted gear is pretty decent to at 92 also... But you can farm the solo zones for jewelery, and chances at better armor.

As for hotbars in your other post, that's all how a player wants them - Best to make w/e hot bar for your reflexes.

don't know if you ever got into pvp but i'd recommend hitting up at least a few bg's a day to complete the quest offered by the npc's. the gear isn't better than raid gear but it is a good set up, specially if you use pve adorns(cb/pot instead of toughness/lethality) and get some good pve weapons.

it's gona take you a while to get your hands on the good gear but it should only take an hour or something to complete the two quest everyday and leave the rest of your play time to do whatever in pve.

    edit.
there is a new expansion coming out in the next month and you might want to hit up open beta on oct. 15th to see what path devs decide to take with bruiser. the last few expansions bruiser has been a solid main tank but they have been taking quite a few nerfs to survivability or at least not receiving as much as other tanks, so devs might be moving away from that and your role in raids might be different this next expac.
