Windows7, ACT doesn't load recently changed logs

Actually, it does -- but only when I relog onto another character (or close logs any other way), so it's more win7 or soe glitch I think. Maybe someone encounters same problem and know solution? currently, there's a workaround like "typein /log twice".

*shrug* It doesn't work in Vista either. Vista does not raise file change notifications unless the file is closed or there is a file explorer window currently open on the folder in question. Microsoft limited their own API to introduce breaking changes and never fixed it.

I cannot get ACT to read the logs on Windows 7 either, BUT while I was in the Logs folder I noticed at the top there is an tab in Windows 7 for "Compatibility Files" and voila there is every single log since I have installed Windows 7. The issue for me at least is that I cannot get ACT to point to those files in that tab.

You need to run EQ2 as administrator then. EQ2 isn't given access to its own logs folder, so when it tries to create the log files, they are put in a virtual location for "compatibility" reasons.

Be warned that this will probably alter how EQ2 loads all of its settings, including character specific UI settings.

You can always move the files out of the virtual location yourself, but you're still required to run as administrator or else EQ2 will simply get access denied errors instead of being sent to a virtual location.
