in eq1 we put GPU for the raid and occasionally put (name of guild hosted), when it was mostly one guild, to note a "ghey pick-up" raid cleared it...
so for example .. knights were to say /70-80 "PU ToT raid pst" etc... it would get noted GPU(KotS).
you don't have to call it GPU hehe just how we had it listed back then... oh the hate~
I'm not saying do it like this etc... just sharing how we noted it on our old eq1 server. This is also how we noted alliances as well... if they did it alone or did it in alliance was noted. anyways "couple" peeps from PU or apps wouldn't be PU imo. And for ringers... well guess thats a tight call. Cuz yeah in some cases 1 class might make or break it, even 1 player if it was a seriously tight call. But for the most part 1 player doesn't make or break a raid unless it was either something class specific, or so on the line coulda gone either way imo. And in that case... the guild who orchestrated all that coordination etc deserves credit imo. A badass tank coming in might be sweet, might make it easier or a higher chance of success, but if the healers blow they still are likely to loose it, for example.
but I think this is pretty right on:

I'm leaning towards allowing up to 4 people who aren't tagged or applying to your guild (alt guilds count as tagged). Other than that you get an asterisk that indicates it was done with out of guild resources. Because I think most people are interested in what a guild can consistently deliver with its regular force.
