Is AoC PvP that bad?

No, AoC is built for PvP.

Originally there wasn't even going to be non full world PvP servers, just servers with differing rule sets, but enough whining took place that they decided to have servers with just PvP in minigames(boredom itself after awhile) and guild vs guild sieges in the border kingdoms(once maybe twice a week affairs due to the planning and time involved).

Its the most fun I've had PvPing since the original Guild Wars or DAoC.
