That's it.... 4-5 days of nothing else in game but searching for obsidian.

I give up.

My guild resumes raiding today, and all of them have their heroic version done.

I can no longer spend the time searching zones and killing random mobs, looking for clickies or new harvests. I will be spending my in game time raiding.

My defiler epic will remain undone I guess.

So.. I give up. I expect a lot of defilers have also now given up the search.

Devs... you really fucked this up. You didnt even give a single clue. All we know is that we have a recipe that needs an ingredient we have no idea what it is. You wont even confirm if it working.

They aren't supposed to give clues. Although a GM did let slip it was harvestable. Also, your search should have only encompassed Skyfire, Lavastorm, and Sol Eye - the only three places obsidian could logically occur.

4-5 days? Took us a month or more for some steps in EQ1.

I did Sol Eye for the second time last night.... and I dont have sonic vision.

If that is the way it spawns, then the devs can go and DIAF.

We were expected to buy totems off the broker and wander about the fucking universe looking.... what 1 time per different vision type? So I get to search the entire world 5 or 6 times for each totem type?

I dunno if its sonic vision or not - or that any special vision is required.

Personally, I'd be more pissed about the vague and esoteric nature of that "hint" at this point in time.
