Its not on a hostile heat spell, its any hostile spell. It just happens to do heat damage.

So, it will do 1065 - 1776 damage over 12 secs (3 ticks, won't get first tick until 4 seconds after it procs)

I'd say the PvP item is better IMO. Its kinda like a Nizara sash.

Edit: A lot of it depends whether or not you pay attention to the proc or the description up top. You might just have to test it

Hmm, why is the Vest of Force in the recommended chest items? Am I supposed to be using my last tier's spells with this chest item? Huh?!

At least when I tried it maybe two months ago, it only increased the trigger amount of Auspex, not Hostage.

So the question is.... Why is the Vest of Force there in the list?

If you look at the description in the top it says successful heat hostile spell. I think it is bugged though and does proc off any spell though I'm not entirely sure, parse it and find out.

Right, because everyone should believe the item description over the effect description.

The PvP ring never proc'd once for me when i wore it. granted this was well over a year ago. they might have changed it.

Just curious why:

isn't on the list. This robe should proc all the time, right?
