I own the charm and all the items, but unfortunately the proc (with maximum Goblin Bane enhancement) doesn't seem very formidable on raids. Course ACT could be screwy with the proc, but if it isn't, I'm only getting a return of about 20-30 dps zw. It's an upgrade I suppose if you're capped in spell damage and can rep out wishbone, but I wouldn't shell out a ton of plat for it unless you can afford it.

Yeah, I ranked the Large Brick worse than a Shard of Hate about a week ago for a reason. It's exactly as Tasnus said, my return is at max 20-30 dps. Also I cannot confirm it, but there's some stacking issues, possibly with the Greater Goblin Bane proc. While in some zones I get both to proc, some fights one won't proc at all even over a long period. Since I can't narrow it down, I don't know how to /bug it.

It does improve the amount of both procs by 20% for the other items, acting as a "5th" set item in that sense. But that's such a small increase, it's hardly worth it.

Best charm setup is still a bunch of Shard of Hate charm items.

Thinking the procs not stacking is the problem as well. At first I thought it was ACT, but much more plausible that it's a mechanic issue. Most of the time I only ever get 'Greater Goblin Bane' as well, which is the proc from Usla's Magickery. Regular 'Goblin Bane' is the proc from the charm, which I rarely see. (charm link from Lootdb.com is incorrect btw - 'Goblin Bane' procs on successful attack, not 'Greater Goblin Bane', hence the stacking issue)

If I did the math correctly, stacked dps should be more in the range of 60-80 (give or take) with all enhancements, which is a little below the proc dps from Signet of Betrayal. Still not as good as Wand of Malice or Death Chimes certainly, but it'd be alot closer to Shard of Hate IMO... and maybe just as good situationaly. Not to mention it's a helluva lot easier for people to obtain who don't kill Maestro.

This is all assuming it gets fixed though, as it stands now it's a marginal upgrade for people who are 1. capped in spell damage and 2. w/out 2 of the 3 top charms available.

For the feet, it's one of the items I get the most questions about. But I did put some reasoning behind it, and also I think I always disclaim that the top item isn't necessarily the best item for everyone, but for the average coercer it is.

The feet have STR, AGI, and INT, with 8 disruption and about 100 hp more. In this case, INT and HP matter the most in my opinion (disruption should already be very high). INT on both boots are about the same, so the comparison boils down to about 100 hp, or 20 spell damage.

Since 100 hp for 20 spell damage is kinda similar to swapping out a Will-bender/Usla's Bangle for the Thuuga Bangle (actually more than 100 hp for a few spell damage or crit/reuse), or the amount of changing Slippers of the Unrepentant from t1 to the vp set boots (85 damage boots which have 75 more hp). Basically, we lose alot of possible hp/stats from our jewelry choices, but we don't notice it. When we lose it from a visible gear slot, somehow it becomes more noticeable. Certainly, not everyone needs the extra 20 spell damage, so some people may want to wear the VP set boots anyway, but for most people, that extra damage will benefit them more.

Further, basically when you get to the top, the best spell damage: crit ratios are mostly 35:1 or better. The Phantom boots slip in at a 30:1, but after that you're going into 25:1 ratio. (As a reminder, at very high levels, the 27:1 ratio is where spell damage and crit are equal).

For the Force hoop after the change, it nearly identical damage potential with the Starstricken now post 750 spell damage, but wins before 750. So I suppose I could put it back on the list ahead of the Starstricken or instead of it, but it's still just a filler earring with the numerous options we have there. Certainly it's a great earring for an entry-level raider or non-raider, and an option for someone with really bad earring luck.

Bah, that's my bad. For some reason I had it stuck in my head that they were +125, not +100, but on a side note you don't think the +8 to Disp and the very mild INT increase makes them the better choice for end game?

When it comes down to parses I noticed the biggest difference if I start off with 3+ chain resists, been on my Brigs / Troubs about debuffs. I know 8 Disp won't make a wolrd of difference, but it must be a little better. lol

idk much about pvp gear, but the desc of that pvp ring says on a successful heat based hostile spell... so if it procs on heat only, worthless 100%... for your personal dps, assuming you're already at/near boe cap, the reet ring is worthless, although your group might notice an ever so tiny improvement in their dps... but prolly not... so minus the effects, the crit is the only thing worth anything in there, and even it sucks..

find new rings imho...
