I dont have problems to keep my groups up with power.
as i wrote, i am full skileld on mana and i thought about changing to tashiana. but since i have no barde in my group like 99% other coercers, im not that sure if i might get in problems. and btw its not always the coercers prob when someone gets oom. has to do alot with the reg gear someone has equi.

I've had trouble keeping up power on rangers, even when they're not out of range. It's quite troublesome, but they tend to do fine with a few flows, and if it's a seriously long fight (20+), they just switch to mental breach every once in a while.

I've been with Tash / CH / Thought Snap for a while now. You have 11 or 12 aa after that, which I personally put into the aforementioned "good" Mana skills (with none in Breeze). Even as the sole power regen in a group oftentimes, at about 70 base regen via buffs, my group and my own power regen is high enough, save for a few scouts, whom I can replenish with channel/mana flow.

Of course, your mileage may vary depending on your group and their gear as you noted, but you never know until you try.

i just meant in general, not personally.

Farming for a Crystal Gift is key for utilizing your DPS to the max and having max power for channeling when the time is needed. Its an easy farm...and a irreplaceable item imo.

Having a troub you can yell @ for jesters every now and then is nice as well.

How about changing mana-ward to absorb X attempts to drain power! and tweek the re-cast time / duration...

Just a thought that would balance for all EoF and RoK content..

Even by improving Manaward itself, the problem still lies in the lack of times it's useful. There's no RoK raid content where Manaward is useful at the moment. And if you're drained, as long as you're in a group, there's Channel to replenish power.

CoA has a power drain as have several names including the one in maidens.. to name 2 specific situations.. (not raided above T2 yet so I couldn't speak about that content)..

There is a power drain, but the key to my wording is that Manaward is not useful for these encounters. Useable, but not useful.

I go through all of CoA boxing by myself without curing. There is a mob in VoES as well that drains and I don't see a need. It could help on Venril, sure. It's not useful in VP, as Travenro is a full power drain on whoever has aggro, who may or may not be in your group, and even then, a ward has nil effect because of the amount of power drain.

When you can list the particular times it's useful, and at those times it's not vital, I don't feel that it's a useful choice of points.

I must apologize, but I don't see your point to re-quoting yourself. If the problem lies with the small/low utility of preventing power drain at all, how would improving the absorption power increase the utility. I really think the better option is just to try a different AA spec.
