While sometimes you might wanna hang onto your pet, if you gotta step away and are simpley too lazy to kill a charmed pet just camp to yourself as you get up, by the time you get back you should be back online.

I am positive all the raid leaders are very happy that you can't charm on most raids....there would be no end to arguements.

Think it would depend on how much DPS you spit out. But unfortunately I have to agree with you. Sadly there are few out there, raid leaders included, that do not understand our class or our abilities. But think I could come up with losing a DPS buff and two deaggro buffs for a pet that nuked for say 9-12K. But you also have to remember, if SoE ever decided to allow the heavens to fall and the WHOLE game go to shit by allowing Coercers to have a charmable mob in raid zones, it would end up as a gimp ass tank or scout. Not a chance in the world that we would ever get a good mage pet.

BTW, I haven't died from my pet killing me since hitting 80. Maybe I'm just lucky. Or maybe I'm charming the wrong mobs.
