Default Dire Charm ? The Plight of The Eq 2 Coercer

How many times have you looked away for a second to catch the glimpse of a good game on tv and look back to your comp screen to find yourself Splat Face down in the dirt from your beloved pet .. How many times have you been punted half way across the zone from you loyal charmed pet because your mez on recharm got resisted ... Oh yes and of course the 50 yard Dash sprint to the bathroom for that oh so needed bio from hours of countless soloing on your coercer.. the plight of the eq 2 coercer .....
All things being equal getting your Subjucation as high as you can, master charm and aa's maxed.. our pets still break and always eats us for dinner on a daily basis. I have probably have more deaths from broken pets then any solo, group or raid encounters in the game lol. Being and enc from eq 1 and since the launch of eq 2 I pose this question to SOE, Where the hell is our Dire charm !!!!

It takes a very special person to play a coercer, we live on the dangerous side which can be fun at times, or soloing orange triple ups can be a rush but still, it would be wonderful to actually take a 15 min break from the computer without having to worry about a pet breaking or finding a new one half way across the zone as we cancel our pet till we return to the computer ...

With all the aa and Illys having a charm (even though short but its still a charm with thier permanent pet, cries unbalance) Has Soe even entertained the idea of Dire Charm for Eq 2 Coercer ? Any jokes, stories, opinions and information on this subject would be great ... and I know we miss Dire Charm ... oh the good old days

Oh and for those who never played EQ1 ...
DIRE CHARM = Permanent Charm attained through aa line ability (never breaks EVER)

I would tend to agree Cenarius But finding new pets in diffrent zones and seeing what they can do fun enuff for me... Ill do without the repair bill ... but ya there is that living on the dangerous side thats gives coercers a mystique .. I agree with that ... but Dire Charm would be oh so nice ...

Charm is risky. No question there. Only thing missing is the reward. I cant even begin to tell you how stupid it is to be double penalized on the charm. Stupid fucking game mechanics FTL.

m1 charm + right pet + right handling = fastest soloing questing char/can kill everything except epics and the thoughest heroic mobs (like General and Megalodon in Jarsath for example)

reward enough?

Those epics and "toughest" heroic mobs are "tough" because you're not allowed to use your control abilities. Bitch at that.

charm works fine

i wish tank pets where better
and scout pets did more dps

as far as it breaking

gear and aa's already reduce that to almost never
but there are some days when pets only last 3 mins
but others when it only breaks when i want it too

i would rather have a better charmed tank or scout than have the charm unbreakable

There are still plenty of named mobs in RoK that are susceptible to root and stun that you can solo kill.

Don't forget the usefulness of getting through an area by charming a mob and sicking it on the next mob to get itself killed right quickly on, charming that new mob and repeating.

The reward for solo charmburning is still quite high, but yeah, it would be nice if there was something worth charming in even one raid zone.
