Hypnosis - does it have a point?

So, I've had my Wisdom line's subjugation skill maxed out for a few levels. I keep staring at that end talent, Hypnosis, and wondering if it has a use that maybe I don't know about. Okay, it's a very short duration charm that requires no concentration. If I really want to charm something, why not mezz it first and use my longer casting, longer duration charm? And aren't pets charmed with Hypnosis weaker than Master I charmed pets? I dunno...I really can't think of many opportunities where I'd use this skill.

Am I missing something?

The main reason I have it is for PvP fights.

What I have noticed is while farming, and, for instance, you're in the Sebilis Lab with all those caster mobs. What I often did to avoid aggro is I'd cast Hypnosis on the caster standing in the distance, which brings the mob to the group.

Other than that, yeah useless.

Ah okay, thanks for confirming my suspicions.

Glad I skipped this skill then. It's two more points I can put elsewhere. Now that Wisdom's done, I'm working on Agility. Now that end ability seems pretty nice.
