Default Choosing the best god for you.

I've looked over several threads on this issue and have researched the various god choices. I'm still semi-new to the game, but this is what I have concluded with what I want.

First of all, any abilities that heal me seem nice. There are times when a mob does reach me and sheers off a good bit of my health, and even though I re-root it or mezz it, sitting at 5% health is bad. So I was looking at Solusek Ro for that ability that heals 10% health/power on every hostile spell for 5 triggers. Karana is also a possibility, but it's a slower heal since it's a regen over 10 minutes.

The cloaks are similar too, both giving spell damage which is good.

What did you guys choose and why? Having never used any of these gods, I wonder how difficult it is to keep your favor up. I actually don't know how often I can afford to even use the favors or blessings.

Inny has a great heal miracle, probably the best there is.

Inny's power blessing is best too.

I think Ro's heal miracle or blessing is based on heat damage. Not much use to Coercers.

If you are looking for heals, I think Karana or the Tribunal would be your best bets. The Tribunal has more than one choice to heal. One is like 500 in-combat regen for 10 minutes, another is 20% damage converted to a heal. Can't remember if Bertox has anything heal related.

Honestly, the best deal is just to choose a deity, use all the free faction, and then switch.

I used Brell for a long time (the Rift from Below is great for add-oriented named, or ae fights, while he also has a single target nuke/stun), although Bertox is a bit better for damage output. But, each deity has plusses and minuses. Cazic is probably the least useful, and yet his fear miracle is incredible for soloing named.

Haha, I never thought about that...switching my deity when my free favor runs out. What happens if you re-worship a god you've done before? Do you still get the free faction from the quest?

I was just reading the deity power descriptions on EQ2i.com, and Solusek's seems to heal based on any hostile spell. Innoruuk's heal blessing does seem nice, but it's too high level for me to complete the quest right now (I'm 42.)

might want to consider cazic thule as well. i know only 2coercers including myself that use it andit's only because we do enjoy soloing and the enhancing of soloing that thule offers.

[cloak] cloak procs a fear 2.2 times per minute that does not break while it's feared.. -just like our reek of terror

[blessings] 10% mental damage and resistability decrease by 25.

[miracles] -there's a pbaoe fear with a 75% slow - great saver for that random stupid pull from a tank - reek of terror will do the job however you got 8 seconds to lock the mobs down - with this you can take your time plus even when your groups are killing the rest of the mobs they are still feared and will stayed feared for teh entire min - i consider it a 1 min aoe stun/mezz if you ask me. if your quick with mezz / roots then it might be a nice thing to try. they also have a 1min miracle single target root/fear combo with a high damage nuke tied tothe end of it.(basically if your fighting melee based mobs / named / whatever - ) you got 1 min to kill him before you have to work your magic.

something to think about.

When you renounce a deity, you lose any positive faction you had. If you choose to re-worship, you'll simply start again at 0 faction at the same progress point in the quests that you were before (and thus have the same available level of blessing/miracles). Once you do the quests, there's no way to do them again.

Ahhh okay, thank you for the info!

So maybe I'll bounce around gods and use all the "free favor" from the quests, and then choose the one I like the most for a more permanent basis.

I actually thought about Cazic Thule first, but..then I read about some of the abilities of other gods that heal. Tough call, really. I might end up flipping a coin or something.
