Farm a crystal gift, get a group of a few people and go in there every day and just kill zone in trash till you get lucky. Its a hassle but its not hard in anyway.

Best combo I think pre-myth is Soulfire + Praetors (attainable that is, I use Soulfire+Dark orb of the mind, i still ONLY use necro orb because im unlucky as hell for praetors)

how are you guys not happy with your epic weapon? the proc is junk, but the rest is great, go look at what inquis and zerkers got shafted into.

Let me try something more diplomatic than Linyen

+5% Max Power. This for a class that is one of the main mana regen classes. Why in the world do we need more power? On top of that, the fabled T8 coercer robe gives +10% max power. Such originality.

+10% spell recast. Nice, if it had been relatively unique. Illusionists get +5% on theirs in the same fashion as we get +5% max power - as an add-on ability, not part of the named functions.

The proc. So wrong in so many ways. Procs on spell attack instead of hostile spell (which illusionist, summoner and necro do). 20% reduction in spell cost. For 10 seconds. Yeah, that's real useful. Even if it was a persistent buff instead of a proc, power is not a problem in RoK.

Fighter mental damage on taunt buff. First, it doesn't fire on abilities like the guardian's Hold The Aggression that proc hate. It is only for the direct single target and AoE taunts. This is the exact same ability that is granted by having 3+ items of the fabled warrior set (obtained in T1-T3 zones). Copy and pasted from an existing item, and I hear that warriors aren't impressed with it, either.

That leaves the +8 spell crit and group mana flow. The latter pisses most of the community off because it makes using volatile magic more work - the coercer needs to keep power under 30% to have a +25% bonus to base spell damage.

im really a happy person...i swear...until i look @ our epic...

oh and PS, group mana flow = worthless

like you said power regen in RoK is a joke..just for shits i gave our MT healers 15p and told them to go buy all the collectables for the pond wash belt and then i ran around doing shinies on Nexona (out of range of pwr regen) and they did just fine, all healers were at 95%+ and tank was around 60% and I was gone for about 5min...

im honestly only holding on to see if it gets changed then i will most likely be betraying if nothing is done to make this in ANY way desirable...still not 100% though, more like 90% sure...

whoever the dev is on this one, fuck off with the power regen bullshit, give us some DPS love and utility love...the taunt thing falls on its face...hard, most tanks go for DPS > taunts...

just because im a douchebag doesnt mean i dunno how to play my class to 110%, it means i know it better than the dev who made our epic weapon effects (and stats for that matter). but seriously i dont give a shit about stats, give us the uber effects like everyone (mostly) else...

<Lyndro> We are looking at all of the epics as a whole. We don't plan on doing spot checks (Aside from bug fixes) with hotfixes or the regular game updates. In an upcoming update we plan on evaluating all the epics (Feedback and all) and making changes to them all at once. Some may change, some may not, some may get better, some may not. We don't have an ETA now, but EQ II is a live game and epics are high profile. We want to do them justice.

I mean...should I even bother waiting? No ETA or anything, which means it could be months before our epic even gets looked at.

I decided not to.

Nothing's permanent (except perhaps the sorry state of the coercer) so I may as well stop bashing my fucking head against a wall. And let me tell you, after having seen the spell list, killed an avatar, and just dicked around as a half-adepted illusionist, I'm even angrier, heh, at how bad off coercers are.

I will still petition for coercer loving, and if/when legitimate problem-solving changes go through, I'll go back in a heartbeat.

Until then...I'll just have to learn how to cope with being loved and adored for my class...(THE HORROR!!)

What's a bit frustrating is that even the mana flow return hasn't been addressed despite several bug reports and feedbacks. I suspect it will be a long time before anything on the epic gets changed, if it does get changed at all.

On the class as a whole, since coercer wasn't my original main, I knew what I was getting into and all the drawbacks. I'm stubborn, so I'll stick with it, but hopefully other people realize the many unresolved and in some cases unresolvable coercer issues, both raid and now solo, if they decide to play this class.
