What do you DPS?

Guys I know there are some old threads on DPS, but my question's pretty specific. I want to know what some of you top end peeps are parsing so I know what I should work towards. Our parses vary a lot b/c of convulsions so tell me what your GREAT dps runs at as well as your AVERAGE and your LOW.

My guild is starting t3 tonight and I pretty much always run in the MT group. Right now I'd say my great dps is 2500-2700 (I can count on one hand how many times I parsed 3K+ in a raid) my average is 1900-2400 and my low is 1500.

Looking forward to seeing what some of you out there are doing and discussing!

500dps is a pretty wide margin on average dps for a coercer, its pretty easy to parse 2-2.2k without even casting Hostage/SpellCurse and tbh the better your tank/healers the more pointless Hostage becomes. If your in the MT group i assume you also have a dirge and that = CoB so melee wherever possible. Make sure you have Tandem infront of any non chanter mage and start the fight with VM active.

When im burning full out dps i average 2.9-3.1k if u get a nice mob who has a crap AE that jumps to 3.5-3.7k, highest ive managed i think is 4.8k on an epic mob.

range is 1900-3k depending on mob and what aoe he has - as lenyan has stated before- dps is good but as you progress and your tank gets better gear - dps will go down.

i would say i average 2100 - mt group no vm(i still value sever hate on harder mobs over the VM on t3/vp zone) no tandem(/sigh)

when doing in t1-t2 ill go to dps spec and be around 2500 - still no damn tandem lol.

depends on group, but MT group with a dirge between 2k and 3k, depends on what the mob does. ZWs are 2400-2600 right now i think.

I hope I'm not outta place in this thread..

But these are some great parses, and I'm a newer Coercer in the MT group in a fairly solid raid guild. We have an awesome MT, and usually have a Dirge in group. We're still mostly T1 raiding. Lookin for some tips to improve myself.

I'm just getting geared properly to be somewhat efficient under 30% power, and parse usually 12-1700 ZW on single mob encounters. I also lack any great proc gear to supplement my dps. My main dmg spells tend to be Shockwave, Hemm and Brainshock in that order with convulsions anywhere inbetween.

Any recommendation on casting or essential gear to help improve my parse?

Any help is appreciated.

Don't forget dps is depending on your raid dps as well... i parse now up to 3,5k on Trash but i'm sure, my dps would fall in another raidforce which don't parse that high.

Thombs of Thuuga Trash Drachnid are my favourit at the moment.

3k on levi trash isn't far fetched even in a raid that's only parsing 50k. I'm spec'd for VM but not focusing on using it atm, contemplating the swap to sever. I parse 1.9-2.7 avg running in an MT setup w/ dirge guard + 3 healers.

As for tips for improvement, get the easy proc gear and then just load up on crit/spell damage.

I only wear praetor's guard, BCG, and wrath of the brood watcher.
