This is going to make Coercers do way more DPS than just about any class. You get Prismatic Adornment * 3. Why do I say that? Illusionists get 5 triggers with their 2-set, you will have 3 from CMind, 8 from Hostage, and 5 from Spell Curse. That's 16 triggers. Not to mention, the 8 trigger Hostage, 10s recast. Dear lord, 10s recast on that? That DPS will be sick, they need to do something because right now just looking at these things tells me, overpowered even more so than Illusionists ever were! You're looking at 4000 DPS just from casting 3 spells.

At the time those values are without VM. I respec'ed to Agi/Int to check it out, but the servers were already coming down for a hotfix.

As far as Possess Essence goes, as long as you can target the mob you can copy it. I tried one of the spellcasters in Danak and a firedrake sentry in VP. They seemed to do about 600 or so damage per hit. Copied mobs are scaled to be character size or a little less. The copied firedrake sentry took a 12K hit and kept on going, but didn't survive the next hit of 9K.

Likely a bug, but I was able to cast Coercive Healing on myself and get the speed bonuses to my beneficial spells (channeling, mana shroud, cure arcane, etc) but it didn't impact Manaward. Casting manaward dropped me to virtually no power and gave a decent ward - 6464 IIRC when having around 10K mana. Individual target only, 5 minute recast.

Cram your preeminence up your ass and cork it with your thumb. It's not my problem that most people here don't have the balls to say plain things in the open. You always did seem on edge whenever I mentioned reducing VM. Too close to home? Who knows, you liberally sidestepped Rays and Iceshape/Gift, and it isn't rocket science to know coercers rarely get to suck those tats.

So I stand firm, 10%. Keep your own fucking mouth shut or I'll holler for 5%.

Looking a the screenshots, noticed a change, maybe i just missed it in the original proposal, but it seems hostage has been changed from melee to spell, Wonder if that was intended

Other than that will be interesting to see how this changes things, I had copied over to the test server a while back, will be looking to see if that still availible when i get home from work.

so far the screenshots look promising

Illuminator, you're dumb. If you put a Coercer in that group instead of an Illusionist he gains the same DPS, thus you actually give the DPS in the behind the scenes to the Wizard or the Troubador, not the Illusionist when calculating Class Balance. You don't calculate based on the best group ever, you calculate on what each can do alone, then you compare them in their best groups ever, and see what both can do, and notice how they both gain the same amount of DPS, thus making it the point that you calculate balance based on their group setups.

Who the fuck is suprised by this?

1.) Coercers suck for quite a long time, nothing is done.

2.) People quit, server population of coercers dwindles to exceptionally low levels.

3.) SOE looks into the matter and finally sees the data backs up the bitching.

4.) SOE acts in typical fashion by overcorrecting. Large bureacracies cant do anything but overcorrect, that is their weakness.

5.) Coercers own the parse and become the FoTW.

6.) Sorcerers and Illusionists cry.

damage on reactives should be reduced - need to test that

i dont think it matters if they trigger off anything, but it would make more sense since they are 2 different spells

and Virulence by your logic sk's will become the next raid tanks
because that is all the rage on the officail forums atm

Wow, if these went live I would fucking tear it up. I think they're starting high and adjusting down, so I wouldn't get too hot and bothered by the numbers.

- Was happy with the change to the stifle, looks like a good spell in it's currently listed form.

- Was happy with Coercive healing, looks like a very nice ability to have in it's current form (actually all of the final abilities look pretty nice now after the changes)
