Default Coercer Achievement setup for LU45

I think it's safe to say that the changes that are currently on test will more than likely be what we have when this goes live. I thought we can throw some ideas out so revel can use to update our coercer FYI thread.
**My thoughts about the new aa setup are primarily for HIGH END RAIDING and will be different to those that are still working on ROK progression.**

My Thoughts:

Efficiency Line:

Positive: Great line for getting the reuse timers down for 2 of our biggest attacks.
Negative: Thought snap, even though it is a great spell as far as crowd control / resetting certain encounters is truly not NECCESSARY for high end raiding. Resisted Thought snap FTW.

Resistances line:

Positive: With the resistibility of tashiana being changed from 56% harder to resist to 91%, I think this makes this is reasonable AA line to use keeping in mind that it only takes 15 AA to get to tashiana and not 20 like the rest which allows you to fill out ego / shockwave.
Negative: Few points have to be wasted in Charm enhancement when charm is never used in raids.

Mana Line:

Positive: A new ability to add to the list of ways to save your MT when they are spiking hard. With the mythical, you can get the majority of the power back in 5 seconds
Negative: Obviously one of the worse lines as everyone knows in ROK power management is non-existent if you use certain gear. 5 Min reuse timer that to my knowledge is NOT affected by our current % of reuse .

Coercive Line:
Positive: The new enhancements to Coercive Healing and Reactives make it still our strongest line to choose.
Negative: Peaceful Link getting nerfed to crap however still the better choice to choose seeing that Mind bend don’t work with epics.

That's pretty close to how I set up my test character, but I don't know if I'll personally make the switch full-time. If one were to spec Manaward though, that allocation would be my suggestion (though I'd place points into Shift Mana and not Soothing. My thinking is if I use Manaward, I would Flow to get power back in 6 seconds. That would bring me to 0 power, so since in that period I rather do something that nothing, I'd probably hit Shift Mana and try to continue what I was doing. Channel is another option but one I like to save for true emergencies. Further, I'm usually at the power cap, so Shift Mana/Cannibalizing Thoughts seem like a better option than Soothing).

Manaward is certainly nice in that it's basically a free Soulward - same 5 minute timer and between 6k and 9k of HP warded, with no danger to us (since power isn't an issue). Our set pants actually does reduce it - as well as some other items we can use, I believe the old Cloak of Unrest and old Unkempt earring's procs both adjust it, as well as some gear I wouldn't recommend like the Mindbending Robe. I.e. anything that doesn't have a spell/combat art only description.

On the other hand, snap still has some uses. Buggy as it is, I have been using snap as a additional memblur and also as an aid on memwiping mobs. These generally end up being tougher encounters ironically, i.e. the fights where Manaward would also see the most usefulness because you need extra healing. On an emergency I generally stun/daze first, and that habit would probably still come before hitting Manaward.

Basically I'm just gonna try out the spec but save my Tash spec in a mirror, and go from there.

Same way I'm spending my points Jibo, except I'm taking those 2 extra points out of Link and put those into Focus. Here's what I had posted on my guild forums.

Once the next LU comes around, I'll be going...

STA 4-4-8
AGI 4-7-8-8-2
INT 4-6-4-8-2

Efficiency - 2 Focus, 5 Ego, 5 Shock Wave
Resistances - 3 Charm, Dispel, 5 Asylum, 5 Psyche, Tashiana
Mana Line - 5 Mana Flow, 5 Soothing, 5 Mana Shroud, 5 Channeling, Mana Ward
Coercion - 5 Cata Mind, 6 Hostage, 6 Spell, 3 Link, Coercive Healing

The dispel allows the jump to Ego and Shock. 5 Soothing because the self-feed is pointless with our mythical and Cannabalize Thoughts already gets boosted from VP 4-set. I also only use Cannabalize as more of an INT debuff when the large AE's are due. I've also been turned off the Cannabilize spell line since T7 when dog-spec was common with shamans because AE immunity blocks the power regen.

My points may change between Focus and Ego depending on the damage output. (I've forgotten the numbers I had on Test).

very true rev. Shift mana probably would be the better choice. but ill be honest with you. if there is one spell on my hot bar that has been there for almost a year unused yet i still look for the master - that would have to be the spell. it's not that it is not useful. it's a very nice mana gain if you have points allocated to it. But since EOF and the Crystal Gift i have never looked back. That is what i use for my snap power. Like you were saying in those harder fights with avatars and such the combination of gift + dipersion gear basically would make it easy mode for me as far as self power-management.

You are correct about snap and i will probably have a mirror loaded with it for certain end boss / avatar fights but for the most part when stuff becomes tagged as farm status i think you can possibly get away with it.
