I think the adds have some sort of ae immunity, I've found that they'll not be mezzed unless they're the direct target of the mez? I could just be smoking crack, but after I started direct targetting them I never had a problem.

I guessed from where the adds stood one or two might have been outside of the (10? metre, I'm not in game so going from memory) range of the encounter mez. It worked on the first couple and then I just used single target, I could control all of them though.

Anyone else having problems with the epic adds attacking through mez? I know I had them locked down, I had my little spell icons up with their timers, and the mage still did a 60k nuke on the tank and the healer was casting the entire time it was supposedly mezzed.
It was the first run of the first day, so maybe it was just buggy.

The "nuke" comes from an elemental impairment that reduces heat resists by 17k or so. The next heat attack will one shot the tank if it's not cured immediately. So either the mage add put the impairment on the tank before the mezz, or it cast it through mezz. Occam's Razor favours the first one.

Second run now, both successful. First run with two exquisite chests, one from the second last named (Scout robe) and one from the Epic encounter (Priest wrist/ring item); second with one from the final (Fighter wrist/ring item). No master spells yet.
Control: no problems at all mezzing / charming adds etc. by now. Just make sure you have decent gear with +casting speed and no proc items as they will break your mezz.
For the final encounter, throw in your group mezz at Usla and your single target mezz immediately afterwards. She's the one who has to stay mezzed all the time, as she has nukes > 30k which can one-hit your tank.
Second in line is Gaddash (seems to be assassin), then Glurbug. If you find the time, mezz Bergo, too. I was able to hold all four of them in our first run.
Nevertheless, Bergo seems to be able to do something while mezzed; so we decided to kill him in our second run. This made things much more comfortable as you only have to take care of three mezzes and he went down within seconds (seems to have very few HP). We will test to kill Bergo and Glurbug next time.
I don't think it's a good idea to bring down Gladdash and Usla as well as this will break the mezz and they seem to be able to do pretty spikes on the tank. Again, your primary order is to keep Usla mezzed all the time. Gladdash should be mezzed, too; the others are not that important.
It might be a good idea to make sure channeling is up as I needed it to keep the group's mana up once in every fight.

We do things a little different. On the pull I cast group stun, and mez Bergo first as he heals. The stun is enough time for the group to get over to Usla and destroy her in a matter of seconds, after mezzing Bergo I single target stun the assassin, which again, is enough time for the group to be done with Usla and drop him as well. After that, it's cake.

i just encounter mez/ae stun, then lock em all down for the duration... subj 472ish and the 1h from that stupid name behind master p in soh... dagger of deadly seduction? something... although i agree with some of the ppl here, there's something weird about mezzing this encounter...
