Lowbie PVP Coercer
Yes Im crazy, but im interested in giving the class a real shot, yep even on a pvp server.
Iv done lots of reading and got some great tips, but I have a few questions for any of you solo pvp'rs out there and im sure theres very few.
What is the most important AA paths should I focus on early for soloing, in pvp and pve.
Im thinking Str for the dps, inturrupts and the endline counter for pvp, but I also read speed kills and that might be needed more, so I can cast and react faster.
In the low levels where will my PVE dps and PVP dps come from? Pets or me casting
Lets say im level 15 out questing and I get jumped by a scout and im at 50% what can i do to turn the tides instanly and swiftly?
Am I too low to do anything really? Is there any hope for that type of situation?
Thanks for any suggestions and help you throw at me
Any advise would be greatly helpful to help me make it through this stressfull time heh

Re: Lowbie PVP Coercer
Well, you won't really be a proper class until late T3, and even then you'll still be lacking some of you're best spells. While a lot of classes flourish after T4, Coercer is probably the best example of this.
in T2 you're just gonna be a mezzer doing pretty sorry DPS. Once you get to level 23 that changes when you get sibyllant, your melee reactive. Most people choose STR line to get the best out of this spell. I personally dislike str, at 80 we get puppetmaster to set off 4 of the 5 procs simutaneously. What I'd suggest considering is rolling a gnome. They get summon clockworks, which will do the same thing as puppetmaster. This frees up all that AA to go into the AGI and Coercion line. At level 28 the first 2 parts of the Coercion line is a must.
Enjoy Coercer, they were already the best class T4+ before Gu45. They are pretty Fotm atm, due to resists and insane melee DPS not being so much of an issue in the lower tiers.

Re: Lowbie PVP Coercer
I've also started a PvP coercer on Nagafen, and have a few questions regarding it..
1. I have yet to see a solid rundown on PvP Coercer AA spec, what I've done till now(Still just early T3) is put points in my Charm, my mez, and my root, to be able to hold my enemies under control. Is there anything I'm missing?
2. Spell/casting order in PvP. What I usually do, is open up with a root, then cast a few quick nukes before throwing in a stifle, nuking again, before throwing in a stun and repeating it. My stun and/or mez usually breaks once I nuke again though, how long does root immunity last? Is there a neat way to keep my enemies at a distance permanently?
3. It's HORRIBLE for a new player on Nagafen to get groups together for PvP, which usually ends up with me facing groups by myself, which usually ends up with me being a corpse and victim of some teabagging session. Is there a way a coercer can keep a whole group of enemies under control? Some times I can handle two enemies, by mezzing one while I root/kill the other. But any more than 2 and I'm dead. I'm usually fighting white con+, but even blue/green con can kill me if they are many enough. Any neat tricks I'm not noticing?
4. General advice. I'm brand new on the server, selling everything I come across to craft myself AdIII spells, but still dying more than I kill because of lacking interest from other players in grouping with someone they don't know.. Any advice for general progression in a PvP server? Solo my way up? Join a PvP chat channel(Is there any)?
Thank you very much for your time and dedication should you decide to answer all this.

The only difference in my pve and pvp aa spec, is I have sta for raids and wis for pvp (+subj)
Someone might want str, but like Milambers I don't really like it either.
For starters I would probably go for Efficiency and Resistances trees, but I'm not really sure. I levelled as an illusionist way back.

I don't even remember how long a player has cc immunities (6 months break makes me forget stuff). Was it like 3x the max duration?
Your casting sounds valid enough, but you're still in T3 and missing alot. You need to get to lvl 40 to get your spell reactive line. Gogogo!
Ad. 3
There's lots of tricks on the pvp server. Consumables for one, makes it up for alot. Going solo against a full group is pretty much suicide. Unless you find them engaged in Seb, and you get a couple out of the way with fear, you might get lucky, with the help of some mobs dps! Killing two isn't easy, but quite doable.
If you're taking on 3 you can't afford resists, but should bring luck with you (but really, there's some people that are that bad, that'll let you get away with it).
My best advice though is, get a guild. Fast.
Ad. 4
Get om a guild and get to/past lvl 40.
