Yes it is a bug. One thing to consider though is that it being a bug, and you knowing it is a bug makes it an exploit and knowingly exploiting will get you suspended or banned at the discretion of SOE, especially after leaving post saying you know its a bug on a public forum for any who wants to petition.

You are much better, and far safer, off not using an exploit, especially when its completely redundant to killing or completing anything in this game.

Yeah, I figured that was happening.

Also, VP patterns are now smart loot so at least that'll help coercers get the 6-set if they don't have it already, and probably force us to wear the gloves full time with the rest of the set.

Well, think about it this way:
4 crit, or 2 crit & 70 spell damage.
Or group haste for 15% spell haste and combat arts.

15% does help us, even if it's minor: it allows us to skip Chrono, gives us a tiny bit of breathing room on perpetuality. Of course it's not as good as the other, but personally I feel that the personal loss is clearly made up by the gain to the group. I suppose it depends on what other pieces you are losing as well.

New loot in the expansion will probably make the set obsolete, but til then, I think it's worthwhile.

Being as I have the SoH hat, wearing 6 pieces means I have to drop my
125 spell dmg boots &
2 crit 70 spell dmg gloves

For

100 spell dmg and a bunch of FT.

So that means I lose 2 crit and 95 spell dmg.
Or 8 crit if I wear the four crit boots and gloves.

There's been a few times when I've not had the set bonus on and the difference in my parse alone was little to none. With the Chrono up at start due to Tyr mind anyway + SoH wand I'm not all that worried about casting speed. Yeah it helps a little with CA's but not enough to sacrifice my own dps on whats mostly just trash mobs anyway. For some contested yeah I might switch stuff out because I generally have to anyway but other then that, I doubt I'll ever use that many pieces unless for some highly unlikely reason they make the gloves worth a damn. Really the only one getting the short end of the stick is my Templar since my shaman has Robe if Alkabor + CH & like I said on fights where it matters, I'll use it.

The point of this change is much like the item swapping while in combat change. We cannot properly balance around swapping some items to maximize buffs and then once those are cast switch to a dps configuration. If you want the effect from an item you should be using that item not just equipping it to buff.

Being disarmed isnt that difficult to catch so its not necessarily an issue. There are however several other unforseen issues I am seeing so I going to pull it from this update but expect it to return in a future update.
