Default State of the Coercer

I haven't played for about 7 months and am thinking of coming back. Was just wondering if someone could give me a quick summary of what has changed since I played last. I logged in earlier and saw some insane changes that seem to address a lot of the issues that were a hot topic before I quit. I don't want to get my hopes up so I figured I'd ask to see how good we are nowadays.

I think it was LU45 where all the changes happened so read through those notes on the official forums or here if they have them posted. Anyways yeah they changed allot and gave Coercers some love I had mine parked for along time till these changes happened and I am loving it.

I've raided on almost every class (except healers) and have to say that coercer is the most fun class to raid with (since the changes). Dust him off and enjoy!

I betrayed from an illy to a coercer after the changes, and would never go back to my illy now. We are so versatile and bring so much more to a raid, and our dps is now very respectable. Like the man said, dust off your coercer and enjoy the changes! You will be very much loved by your MT group on raids.

With the changes to the class we became the new FotM, and rightfully so, I went from topping high 3k to low 4k DPS on single parses to well over 6k to 7k in 1 patch. We are much more DPS focused now, but are still awesome at control. The class it self is great and a lot of fun to play. So as for the Coercer class it self, hell yes, we are awesome and fun, come on back!...

However, with the upcoming game expansion, named changes and numerous other things that are being add / changed I honestly was starting to doubt the game it self. Luckily life changes didn't give me much of an option and I quit here recently, but the next expansion looks kinda lame and this is the first time I've thought that about an EQ2 expansion since that stupid vampire adventure pack.

So your call really.
