Re: Is Amnesia broken?
Because not every mob is susceptible to memblurs.

Re: Is Amnesia broken?
I've found that it rarely works anyways, pre-TSO, even when it lands.
Why?
1) Dots still on the named, or poisons etc, stuff that still ticks. We can spend AA points to cancel these.
2) Heals. Usually the healers eat it after an amnesia anyways, and by then, almost everyone is dead anyways.
Ironic thing is, if you use Thoughtsnap while the tank is down, many mobs that run on a script will reset instantly, such as Nexona. So, in those cases, Thoughtsnap is a perfect memwipe.

Re: Is Amnesia broken?
Most named mobs also reengage a raid, even ones not attacking, when they cast an AE. Xebnok is one of these - he's possible to memwipe but extremely difficult to time, as you have to fulfill the above prereqs (no dots, no heals) plus do it before he gets into casting animation (or after if you somehow survive).

Do we have a list of mobs that are immune to memwipe?
I know some of the nameds in SOH are, and Xebnok appears to be too.

Do you know what the difference between a memwipe and a memblur is? Blur = Remove. Wipe = Remove. Diference is, nothing.......

Re: Is Amnesia broken?
If I understand it correctly, Anesthesia wipes the mobs memory of all previous aggression - then after the stun wears off (or immediately if it's stun immune) it will come eat your face, then reset itself.
Anything done to the mob, including dot ticks, heals, auto attack, etc. if you don't have the AA for that, is going to re-engage it. So everyone has to know to drop their spells and quit attacking for it to work. I've found it very hit or miss whether it actually wipes or not.
So is what folks are referring to as a mem blur that the mob doesn't lose all previous aggro done to it, it just changes it around some. Some mobs every certain percentage will suddenly change targets, but the aggro list still exists prior to that. Some player abilities can knock someone up or down the list, etc.

Yes unless someone casted a group spell or hitted the mob in any way while the mob is stunned.

Yup, but you can still die and wipe it with a 1% chance or so, if you die immedently after the memwipe hit with some luck.

Yup, Hatelist stay as it is but the current target drops down the hate list a few positions.
Like Trakanon's gaze does kinda .. You drop down the hate list 24 Position but the rest hate list stays as it is.

Re: Is Amnesia broken?
Oh I wonder if the best thing to do then would be to mem wipe and then immediately hit a tinkered mana/lifestone? The ones that kill you I mean. Or maybe would fd work?
Would that make it an autoreset? Or at least make it more likely?
Gah. Too bad I'm not a tinker.

Re: Is Amnesia broken?
Yeah, Tinker items (Exothermic Lifestone, Heartstopper/Secret of Death/etc) are the most reliable way to wipe the mob - the lifestone and the the lower levels FD items have a quick cast time. Otherwise, you have to rely on the mob to kill you quickly, which ironically can take longer than you want. I changed from a 400 transmuter to do it and I don't regret it, except for having to level another character in transmuter.
