Coecer duel tips/strategies?

I have a hard time holding down fighters in duels and i was wondering if anybody had any tips or strategies on how to take out all those hitpoints? Any recommendations on gear or aa specs would be useful too.

There's nothing special other than CC (including CC procs especially fear) and DPSing while hoping for the best. Better odds if you can stay at ranged since any of them could easily stun/stifle you at melee range and kill you.

If it works in PvE duels as it works on PvP servers, Amnesia/Anesthesia gives 5 seconds of a forced clear-target. But last I remember from KoS era, detargets aren't activated for PvE servers, so you're probably screwed out of the biggest lifesaver.

The clicky snare wand from vaults in FG is big help I find for beating classes like bruisers. other fighters don't seem to pose much of an issue, unless I get some bad resists or they pop a vessel/godspell, that's when things get more interesting

. But i doubt people on PvE use those in duels.

Take procs off. Mez, stack reatives (hostage, spell curse, TMind), tash, peace of mind, kill em dead.

Bruisers...just go ahead and bend over. Without Amnesia you're kinda screwed, especially if dispersion/displacement doesnt proc, which if it is like the arena, it wont proc.

Duels are really unbalanced compared to true pvp. You're going to have to focus on a keep away strategy, but as you noticed you'll resist alot and their hp will be far too difficult to whittle away. Dispersion does proc in duels, but it only delays the inevitable.

Resists happen alot in regular pvp too. I run partial wisdom spec with the AAs in subj/disr in the shadows tree if I'm running around. With high 500s subj/disr I still manage to get resisted quite often

Every now and then I'll duo with a Troob and we do really well. It's not rare that we kill a group of 3 or 4 either. I mez, and he charms, we kill. Vent FTW!!!

lol....sorry just read DUEL. I read it fast and saw duo. ...yea I don't know...hung over is my best explanation for that one. sorry. Rangers and monk/bruiser that get the jump on me, I'm basically dead. Although I did actually kill a ranger that got the jump on me once. I was as shocked as he probably was. I hung around waiting to see if he went linkdead or something...but he didn't. He revived shortly there after. <3 that heal necklace for PVP!!!

On pvp servers, it's like amnesia --> hostage --> puppets --> go get your loots. On pve servers, it's like resist --> resist --> resist --> resist --> oh shit deaggros dont work in duels, sry.

BTW, as far as resists go..I have yet to see one with 620+ skills and AA reduced resist rates. Oh sry forgot my being an illu, CC resists are the only aspect of pvp we aren't owned by a coercer in.

Hostage + Puppets only 1 shots people in terrible gear, and that's if you have the trak robe. Maybe that's the norm on Harla Dar, idk.
