In the x2 zone, a mold drops. With that mold plus shards, you go to Merchant A and buy your pattern. With this pattern plus your T2 Legendary set piece, you go to Merchant B and buy your new set piece.

Doesnt the 7-item set bonus apply to the whole group if it's on the seal/signet skills?

Seems desirable for mage/scout DPS (But is kinda a 'wtf?!') considering we're more desirable for tank/heal parties most of the time, and illusionists tend to get thrown into the mage/scout groups more then coercers.


..I could be wrong though, and it doesnt apply party wide. But if it did... 4% spell/combat damage would be a desirable party buff, in a DPS party that's essentially +24% damage (I know it doesnt quite parse that way, but 6 4% bonuses = 24, so bear with me here).


But, considering our heal/tank utility, I'd rather it be 4% to aggro skills/procs and 4% to healing. Or something like that. Especially since tanks are losing a fair amount of DPS and will be depending on hate skills, rather then damage to hold aggro after the fighter update.

It was nerfed to 2%, unless it was un-nerfed in the last few days.

4% is never desirable. 4% is so little that it's not really noticable, especially for the overall DPS you will lose in comparison to wearing that 7-set.

SoE likes making items no one will use. The bonus looked ok until I looked at the set items and thought about how long it would take to get the full set.

For the sake of math, I have to point out the error here.

Let's say the buff is raidwide, that would be an extra 4% to the raid, since multiplication is communitive. 4% for each member would be a 4% increase over all, not 4% x 24.

Since this is just a group buff, the 4% would be for the overall group increease. Assuming each group provided an equal part DPS for the raid overalll, 4% on one group would only be a 1% raidwide increase overall. Just for example. But if the group was providing 20% of the raid's DPS, they would now be doing ~20.6% of the DPS.

Not a noteworthy increase tbh, but I'd still play around with it.

which in practice would still fair smaller numbers %wise since auto attack is not taken in to consideration..
