Possible pet nerf inbound

Oh well knew the fun wouldn't last, someone complained about a coercer pet in korsha on the SOE boards.

Unfortunantly a Dev has promised a hotfix asap

Kander stated "The spell just needs to be made so it cannot target other npc's. I will hotfix this ASAP. Thanks for the heads up!"

No surprise. Its fun, sure, but its not balanced.

Many of the pets still do great, balanced dps without doing any percent based damage.

however i hope they dont break the spell all together.

So they make the mob uncharmable......... Not like having a 35k dps pet is balanced in anyway.

Not a coercer, but loving all my coercers in my groups, I really enjoyed this aspect of the game, it's nice to find something unintended and have some fun with it.
I feel bad for you guys because I know how much fun you had with this. As a Pally, I loved sitting back and watching you guys do all the work, very amusing.
So i R-A-R'd the post, i really feel for ya.

Whereas some of the comments in the thread are very valid. Great idea to give penalties for better equipment by making percental damage, and thus p...ing off tanks and healers. Maybe next expansion we will experience some instances where it's better to tank completely nude?

Sigh, it was nice *feeling* like a coercer for a little while. Yeah the pet was OP, but to completely turn it off is a huge disservice. They should tone the pet down, but make it a key component of that strategy (not the only strategy).

Well at least they're not making the mobs uncharmable... they just won't cast that spell on other NPCs.
