Coercer and...Warlock/Wiz/Coercer for duo

Hi...

My buddy is starting a coercer I started a warlock...but we starting thinking (always a big mistake) would a wizard be better than a warlock or would 2 coercer be good together?

Opinions?

it depends on what your wanting to do
if 2 mages, illy and coercer are good duo

fury or troubie would be really good choices too

if i had to pick between wiz and lock, lock would win

Well its between Coercer/Coercer, Coercer/Lock and Coercer/Wiz

My brother and I duo'd up from 30 to 65, him on his Warlock and me on my Coercer. From a grouping together point of view, I think these two stack better than either of the other two options.

Warlocks get casting skills buff, the boost to subj makes charming mobs 8 levels above you a lot easier. Makes for good times when levelling.

Ah fond memories of charm break one hit kills. Lots of parking the mob a way from me and both of us targetting the mob to root it in case / when charm broke. Keeping the target rooted so that if charm breaks only one mob's running our way, etc.

Warlocks also don't get an int buff, the int buff you cast will help him out. Wizard int buff and yours only the better one will apply.

Wizards get evac though, which is useful, and annoying that warlocks don't get.

See I was thinking more along the lines of the mezzer could mez multiple targets while the wizard could nUke them down. While a warlock is more AOE oriented. But IM not sure. THats why I was asking opinons

My husband and I duo'd coercer/brig as our first two characters when we started the game years ago, and they are still our current mains. It works but it's not as easy as a tank/healer combo. The strat is stun-lock and destroy the targets one at a time as fast as possible.

from a pvp standpoint coercer/coercer would be the best of those options. The best partner for a warlock is another warlock. Coercer brig would be tough as well, with the stun locks u would melt mobs before they could really do anything, if the two of you timed your stuns together i dont think the mob would ever move. Coercer/Necro would be strong as well, necro's pet can tank, trigger your melee proc, get heals et cetera.

I've had success with a Fury as well as a warlock. It's nice to have the heals for when things go wrong and our single target damage output is great but it's nice to be able to burn the whole group down instead of one at a time.
