Someone wrote it here in coercer forum, just don't remember where it was.

Encounters can trigger all 3 if you use an AE spell. Cast Mind on yourself, use Spell Curse, or Shock Wave...etc....all 3 triggers can proc at once on the mobs.

Yep. Will work decently if on the Pally/SK, though it's best to macro for yourself, or at least someone else with some high spell crit.

Didn't spot macros in the Coercer FAQs - there one where you put it on yourself without loosing target?

Coercer in my guild will sometimes pre pull pop it on me, so he can have it back up for himself for pull.
Given, we both have 100% crit rate so.
I would definitely cast it on yourself, if you know you're going to have time for it to come back up before a pull toss it on another mage that you know has 100% crit rate.

For a macro, right click it hit..Create macro, where it says target just put your name.

The crit rate of your target doesnt matter, because no matter who procs despotic mind, it uses your stats for damage calculation and contributes to your dps, not to the one's you cast it on

If this is true, does this mean that DM on other targets boost your dps or theirs?

Welcome to page 1 of this thread. Damage from DM always counts towards your dps and hate (since the changes).

I can't believe this conversation is still going on :P If you are diligent enough to cast it on another mage AND yourself prior to pull then go for it, you'll get a tiny bit more dps that fight. Grats. Otherwise, macro it to yourself and be done with it, there is no better option.

Edit: Sorry for being pissy :P Revel (and a few others) already answered this thread on page 1 and there has been nothing but misinformation since then, so I just wanted to make sure everyone understood how it worked.

I also precast it by using a changeable macro and then have it in rotation macroed for myself (two macros). The only problem I've had with that is sometimes I generate 11K+ on pull and the mob runs straight to me...so now I precast and then demit and then start my rotation.

DM shouldn't generate any hate for you on pull, unless ur casting hostage or other spells to proc it while the mob is running at you (I recomend this!).

If you are spiking to 11k and your tank can't hold agro off of you though I'd recomend a new tank.

heh, spiking aggro like that is a great way to piss off a bad tank

another way to annoy your whole group is to cast our group wide ultravision (aka purple vision) on fights like Mynzak. Some people don't find it as funny as I did
