Possession spell

Hi guys and gals,

I just read that at level 65 the coercer gets a spell called possession that should give total control over the subject. Is this an unbreakable charm or how should I see this?

This spell was changed... earlier you could take control over a mob. Now you copy this mob and you can have it as a pet.

So after level 65 coercers always use possession instead of regular charm?

I don't know if all but I do because with mythical you don't loose a concentration slot and the pet, which gets scaled to your lvl is enough for questing and in raid extra dps. So 0 use for charm tbh.

Good targets are barden classes cause they keep their buff even as possession pet.

stick with charm, especially if you have master. the PE does such a stupid, small amount of damage compared to a charmed pet that it is not worth it for soloing. the deaths you eat from the charmed mob will stay take less time than trying to dps with a PE for all of RoK

They do fine in some solo situations.

1. The last part of the new Ashanti diety quest - inside that tower in Gaynos - A couple semi-heroic mobs that splatted me in 2 hits...Decided to mez one - possess other, the possessed pet beat them both down for me, took a while, but not soloable otherwise.

2. Possessed pet scale to your level, as charmed do not. So in a lower zone, if you need a pet for some higher level kill, you can snag a lvl 80 pet fast and easy.

If you can mezz them, you can solo them without possess essense.

The major advantage of possess essence is that with the mythical, it no longer requires the 3 concentration slots, which, in a raid, means you can have all of your buffs up and still have a pet which will add somewhere between 500-1000 to your parse.

WTF they explode in sec's. This is not accurate! You dont need to posses to kill shit imo.

maybe they wear handcrafted gear ... so it might be a challenge ...
