Default DPS stats

So a little listing of what we need to DPS well :

Intelligence : Hard Cap around 1250 I think
Base Damage : no Soft Cap? Hard Cap being 100%
Spell Damage : Hard Cap being around half each spell max dmg
Spell Crit Chance : Depends of yours and your target respective lvl 100% being the actual chance of Crit if your target lvl is the same as yours but the more there's a lvl difference between each other the easier or harder it get (think it's 118% to crit 100% of the time against a lvl88)
Spell Crit Bonus : hard cap cannot be tested at this time but expect 100%, most TSO tree spell boost adds a crit bonus as "critical damage", this stat make your Crit hit harder but not more or less often, just bigger numbers.

That's all I can see to improve a specific spell dmg naturally to improve your parse there's also:

Spell Reuse Time : 100% being the Hard Cap.
Spell Casting Time : 100% being the Hard Cap.
Recovery Time : 100% being the likely Hard Cap (Recovery Time is the time it'll take between two spells after one is cast and before you start casting the next one, that's also when you Melee when autoattacking)

And naturally some others stats if you Melee but don't think it would fit in this topic.

I'm unsure if Base Damage also boost your Spell Damage Cap anyone with informations on that bit?

Yes base damage will boost your spell damage cap. Yours spells reflect the added base damage when you examine them, so the damage cap will be 50% of the new number.

So, if you have a 10% base damage item, your spell damage cap will be 5% more.

I haven't tested this do to being extremely lazy however . .
I always figured that anything over 100% crit would not continue to help towards orange con mobs. I figured 100% is the hard cap and you couldn't get to a 'true' 100% against orange mobs. (ie. if I get to 120%+ spell crit, am I critting every time on orange mobs or does it stop helping me at 100%). Is my assumption incorrect here?

Roughly :

You lvl80 him lvl85 for a 100% chance of crit you need 125% spell crit chance

You lvl80 him lvl80 for a 100% chance of crit you need 100% spell crit chance

You lvl80 him lvl75 for a 100% chance of crit you need 75% spell crit chance

Those numbers aren't accurate but are a good sketch of the maths behind (should also apply to heals but given we are usually both lvl80 not much testing has been done on that)

On lvl 88 raid mobs I get 100% spell crit on everything with 106% spell crit anything lower than 106% it falls under.

If that makes sense.

Could someone confirm how much spell crit chance is needed for a lvl88 100% crit rate?

Well, its less than 125, and more than 106. I'm pretty sure its between 116-118% but I havn't the ability to test it. Maybe someone else who can reach those crit numbers can be more sure.
