My current raid is running an Illusionist in the MT group and I want to offer my Coercer up to take that spot, but I'll need to offer up a proper argument why.

I'm not very familiar with the Illy class apart from the obvious stuff.

What advantages do we have in the MT group over the Illy?

Illy's get:

Time Compression ( offers fast casting not sure what is the increase %) ?

Power Regen ( we about equal?)

Illusionary Arm (Dbl attack vrs out DPS buff) overall dps much difference? only going on tank and dirge

Rapidity

Coercers are better for MT group because of hate transfer and they can get a full group all the way blue in seconds

Raid is currently running a Pally in MT group so hate isn't too much of a big deal.

Well, what group are you getting if not the mt group? The pally might just be better served the way he is if you guys are not having hate problems, but I don't know how your raid is setup. An ideal raid, ironically, should always have at least the risk of hate problems because everyone gets maxxed out and everyone should need max hate gains, max transfers, trak shield buffs, etc.

Basically the only benefits you offer are the gain/transfer of Enraging Demeanor, (which at least transfer-wise he's already max with amends, and very high with gain with just a dirge and if he's not capped with double attack then he's getting benefit there) and CH is better than TC for a healer, although again illy's aren't totally lost for helping the healer out buffwise. If you have the proper set bonuses (either VP or TSO fabled), you also offer 15% haste to your entire group which is what I think puts coercers at an equal level group-buff-wise, as well as melee crit bonus and base damage if you decide to go that far. However, since you're running a pally MT, I can only assume you're not up to the level of being able to farm tons of set pieces.

so you run with 4 illy's? If not.. put this mt illu in another group where he will be more efficient with his buffs...

if you run with 4 illy's, the most was posted allready, Coercer add also 16%? healcrit to the hole group (if a illy has specced this you should shot him anyway), Coercer has higher burstdmg (for my experiences) so together with amends the tank has from the beginning no probs with aggro...

Ps: if your leader needs more arguments.. explain him that our mythical has a special mt tank buff which makes him win!

that's 30% faster heals for the healer with coercive healing, and 15% faster for everyone
