GU52 - How bad are we going to get hit?

With the item proc nerf incoming soon (procs don't crit and spelldmg doesn't affect them), just wondering how much you guys think we will lose in terms of general DPS.

Also, if it's really looking bad, what sort of alternate items are you looking at to replace our soon-to-be-nerfed proc gear, if you're replacing at all?

Everyone has a different amount of proc gear, but for a general rule of thumb you can just divide your damage from procs by 3. For me, I expect to lose a few thousand dps, or nearly 20% of my potential damage. I can recover some of this by just swapping out gear, but because I'm maxxed on everything but reuse and spell crit bonus, and those 2 items are not in great abundance anywhere, it will be a very difficult task.

I figured I am losing between 8-12% (parses from test reflect this). People in top end gear are getting hurt the most. If you are in mostly heroic gear you wont be hit as hard.

Here is the gear I use (aside from the choker).
I think I am sitting around 78% crit chance with 600damage mod. I have been looking at ways to get my +spell damage back up since I switched out my robe.

was on test and if thats the way its not going to be so bad. procs wont; crit, thats about all i see different, and a few procs are no longer modifable tho mayong orb still was able to be modified , altho there is messages on al proc gear "cannot be modified except by direct means"

Yah .. when I started playing I wanted Destroyer of Rats .. but then i learned it was not a title, Brownies seemed like a good 2nd choice

... and they are tasty !

Like I say .. if you are putting out 6-7k DPS, expect to lose about 400dps +/-100. If you are putting out insane parses like in the parse thread (16-20k) .. expect to lose up to 20% as revel said.

Glad i've only been 80 for about a month so I don't have to worry about losing a significant amount of my dps

I've been 80 for over a year and this won't be a serious nerf for me either, not sure it that's good or bad.

It's really only a nerf to people who have been farming Avatars and what-not for a while and have extremely high, or capped, base damage, crit, and high crit bonus. Most everybody else will see a slight drop which could probably be recovered by swapping out the procs completely for more crit, spell damage, reuse, etc. gear.

That's the way I see it anyways.
