Re: Post-GU52 Parses
Looks about what I had, my last Gynok parse was about 12k, I'll grab the ACT picture when I get home from work today.

Re: Post-GU52 Parses
how much proc items did you use? i was on 13items befor patch, and now i use just 5-6. works good on singel end (nerly same old dps) just the AOE/AE damage is a bit low now.

Re: Post-GU52 Parses
without byzola ring and avatar charms you should have little to no difference in dps pre- and post- gu 52.

Re: Post-GU52 Parses
Interesting. Crippling Magical Affliction handily beat out Obsidian Chaos in Valdrane's parse. So, it looks like the set hat if, it was my 5th piece, is better than the HoDD?

Re: Post-GU52 Parses
Probably my 4th or 5th Gynok fight. Got drained once while PE'ing a pet, and the pet ended up dying. Raid DPS was 155k. OT group, Zerker, Dirge, Ranger, Mystic, Templar.
Do you bother getting a new pet on that fight if yours dies? I did, but not sure if its the right thing to do.
No avatar gear, no other gear that is really special.
EverQuest II Players - Profile for Agaxim
Was using Tainted orb of Magma in ranged, not the AE avoid, on the fight.

Re: Post-GU52 Parses
Getting a pet on long fights is ok, but you lose a few hundred on a zonewide just casting it usually (with just its cast time). On the flip side, your potential gain is approximately a few hundred dps. The longer the fight, the less the loss impacts the fight simply because it gets averaged out. To be specific, in that case it was better to get the pet than it was not to get the pet.. but if Gynok was only a 3 minute fight for you, then it would be a bad idea.
So, short answer is, I wouldn't bother getting the pet, but it wasn't a mistake.
