GU53 Test update notes
Notable extractions for the good:
- Certain items in Munzok’s Material Bastion have become slightly more desirable.
- The Bangle of the Spiteful now slightly increases spell crit bonus.
- Anashti Sul and Ykesha now have a chance to drop new items for Mages.
Notable extractions for the bad:
- Fixed a case where some item based triggered effects would begin to critical. (uggg, i'm dreading this...)
Lots of other stuff. However, as of the time of this post, the changes haven't been applied to Test, or at least not Test Copy.

This is coercer-specific?

Re: GU53 Test update notes
The Charm is still nerfed (not upgraded). From what I saw, loot from the first set of named was upgraded slightly, everything after that was untouched (unless they messed with Munzok's table himself.)
Oh, and our 5-set no longer crits.

Re: GU53 Test update notes
It's not coercer specific, but there isn't anything else going on. It is on test now.
None of the Munzok loot for mages was changed. A few items gained a crit or base CA damage.
Bangle of the Spiteful got 3 spell crit bonus, making it as good as the Obsession or better if you can use the extra crit chance.
Ah you posted before I got around to clicking my post, I was looking at my alts.

It's better than Obsession because 4 reuse+3 bonus>5 bonus.
Keep in mind we have new Ykesha and Anashti items but... we won't know what they are until later.

Re: GU53 Test update notes
If you take spell damage into account and still have room for it under your base damage, it's better. It's situational. The reuse on the Spiteful is helpful but not game changing, it's only a little help.

If it was more spell damage, I'd agree with you. as it is, most players aren't going to get a ton of reuse. Avatar players might... the rest of the populace won't. Therefore, that 4 reuse counts for more overall.

Re: GU53 Test update notes
I imagine the Ykesha item will prbably be a belt to go along with the belts for everbody else off of him. Who knows though. Wonder what the new Anashti loot is. If it is just the choker that we know is coming or if it is something completely new, maybe something like the scout ear.
I do like the change to the Zarakon wrist.

Re: GU53 Test update notes
I heard a rumor there was supposed to be a new belt and a new symbol (though I might have confused that with the WoE items that were introduced, cuz they did put in that Bury'nai belt and the Gem is technically a symbol). It doesn't make sense to be armor, and it shouldnt be a ring because Munzok was supposed to have rings. It's probably not a cloak either, since Munzok's was supposed to take care of that choice? The only other possibility then would be another wrist, if its not a belt or symbol.
As far as reuse being harder to get for an avatar-killing guild or not, I don't see the point. Reuse is hard to get, for sure. Although the avatar charms were nerfed, the Trixy Wrist and the Fear/Bertox charms are still places where reuse is easier for them to get. If you're killing Zarrakon, you have access to most of the other reuse items, though - Ykeshan Spellbear shard mount, Myth, set pieces, Darkened Jewel or Talisman, possibly the Drakota neck if you don't wear choker, and finally, Shroud of Destruction, the Munzok cloak.
I would analogize this to wearing Unrest Cloak if you wanted for 10 reuse. Most of the time you're going to pick the Void-Touched instead. Some people do wear the Unrest cloak. The difference is 2 crit, 2 crit bonus, and a proc that's about 50 damage nowdays. The difference between the Bracers is 4 hostile reuse versus 2 extra crit bonus. Ignore the 6 crit and the 45 spell damage - you can just narrow down the benefits alone from that. Some people will value the reuse - which on short fights does nothing but on long fights helps - and some will value hitting harder, because it's just as hard to get high spell crit bonus as it is to get high reuse. You cannot declare one item better than the other based on what level of experience they're at, they're just going to have to make their own informed choices and all I can give them is help to make it.
