You really do just want to turn and burn the adds down though. I usually go with an SK tank, they have a 50m range combat art so he just pulls all the adds with that and the rest of the group doesn't have to move.

A good scout can run off and solo it, then run back to varsoon. Or you can have someone go pull the mob and have the group kill it.

Every time the tank has insisted I mezz the adds I explain it won't work but give it a solid try anyway, and every time something happens (tank turns Varsoon toward me, or moves him too close to the spawned and mezzed adds, someone tabs and wakes them... etc) resulting in a wipe and restart.

Burn them. Burn them all.

The way I have always done this fight is The tank and I burn Varsoon the whole time with everyone else killing the adds when they come.

A coercer with 41 in STR should have 0 problems with the interrupts on Varsoon (well ok I have issues in the blades room sometimes).

a coercer period shouldnt have problems with interrupts... i fuck it up usually once a fight lol, but thats cuz im trying to pump more dps and slacking, not cuz its hard without str spec..

Yeah, Illy's might need str spec ca for it, but hemorrhage is teh shit.

to the OP: burn, not mezz

to the interrupts: i did that both on my illu and coercer and hemo has two disadvanteges. it cant be cast while moving and it can be resisted. Both of those are sorted with STR line CA.

With a 2 sec cast time ... why worry about interrupts ... just cast it again ... and tbh if you are the only one interrupting during the fight:
1 - get a tank that knows his/her class and used their interrupts on the move also

2 - well there is no 2 if you can't cast, move, cast , move, cast, move - /delete your toon

i've done the fight both ways. When they first had me mezzing adds it took a while to get used to locking all 4 down but i found if you let them get in pretty close then have the tank move the mob a little its easy to just tab through to ech and mez befor tabing to the next. this leaves plenty of time to get em locked and swap to the named for a few nukes. then back to the rotation. after a few differnt times in there im now able to lock them in their spawning place and run a little to keep em all mezzed while putting some dps on the named. It is however much easier to just burn em as many people here have mentioned and if your short on dps in the group this is probably the only way to make it happen. I have decent gear by my mezzes are both adept 3, resists did suck but it was doable.

1 - I have done both ways too, and I must add that even around the times where I was running around with some instanced fabled gear and T2 shard armor I didn't have too much problems with keeping the adds mezzed. I am not completely sure about this cause I haven't mezzed in months but before when a mezz could still proc dam (which I think Sony "fixed") it would break... That was the only annoying part of the mezzing.

2 - No the adds won't heal Varsoon or themselves when mezzed, never have.

3 - Burn the adds, so much easier and like said before they have fuck all HP. Like revel said they can be stunned/mezzed/rooted just debuff and work through stuns if the group has trouble staying alive to the add.

4 - Although I am pretty sure that any group should be able to do that zone by now, 14k dps is extremely low. And even with burning the adds its going to take a long time.
