As noted, it is pretty obvious that if your transfer target dies, you are often the next highest. However, other members in my raid can get higher than me when they're outputting more dps, or often the offtank is able to maintain in the 2nd position simply by doing his job.

Power does generate aggro, but it's pretty neglible, as much as a debuff or group buff and probably the same as a healer's heals - enough to put you on the hate list and sometimes unluckily get initial aggro, but nothing more than that. Stuns generate additional aggro, but not more than a taunt. Mostly, it's two issues when you get aggro if the tank goes down: 1. not all hate you generate is transfered, only the amounts that are direct such as damage and threat increase procs; and 2. other classes having detaunts or negative hate modifiers that keep them lower on the hate list in comparison to us in the normal raid setup.

I am almost always the first to die too whenever my hate transfer target dies, simple explanation high dps + quick casting (shitload of spells/minute) + wicked wand = aggro magnet. Because I recently switched from HC raiding to casual raiding I have better gear than most people in my guild so more DPS hence more aggro I tend to really focus on my aggro meter on memwhipe stuff. Rather lay off DPS for the first 5 seconds or so, instead of dying and having to rebuff the whole group again.

Pretty much nothing I can add to the discussion than farm SoH and get your tanks Signet of Betrayal. Its a really nice item for tanks to have on a fight like Xebnok.

If you are indeed the target of amends on Xebnok fight tell the pally to find an amend target that is actually within the reach of amends to work. Way too often you see a pally almost completely relying on amends for hate gain which is really sad..
